"Pretty much the whole of Counting Crows "Across A Wire" album. Every time I listen to it.
I love the hidden track at the end.
Blimey, that brings back memories. "
Yeah, what is that record, like 20 years old now? |

Wind Beneath My Wings. I never liked that song much. It was played when they walked my best friends coffin down the aisle. I've never cried so much in my life. Now I can't listen to that stupid stupid song without welling up.
Bloody Bette Midler has a lot to answer for. |

I'm the same with Happy by Pharell . Seeing a tiny pink coffin carried in to the church with my cousin inside was awful. It was her favourite song and they played it in memory of her. |

Carter USM - Prince in a paupers grave.
I had it loud and I just got carried away by the beauty of the orchestral sound. I know, who'd have thought it of me?!

"Stop Crying Your Heat Out - Oasis
Deep Heat disaster?"
Oh ffs!
On a separate note someone had deep heat rubbed into their pants by a jolly japester after a football match once. Never seen such agony! |

Something off of Bowie's Blackstar. The ending of 'Dollar Days' segueing into 'I can't give everything away' does me every time.
Bowie's 'Where Are We Now?' from a few years back always brings back fond memories of when our daughter was born. That bit at the end when he sings 'as long as there's me /as long as there's you' and then the song spirals off into that guitar solo, that kills me.
Nick Cave - 'Into My Arms' always gets me too. First dance song at our wedding.

Green day -wake me up when September ends. My dad passed away in the month of September several years ago and this song was playing on our way home from what was meant to be a Great holiday in south France. |

Celine Dion - Because You Loved Me
This song reduced me to tears a couple of months back as it reminded me of my recent ex who dumped me at Christmas and cut ties altogether. It felt like I had lost my only best friend in death even though she hasn't really died. |

Fabulous words, makes me think of my mum who passed away on New Year's Eve, he just hit the place and tears ran down my face as I drove the car the first time I heard it. |

Ed Sheeran. The Fault in our Stars.
We loved, we had a most memorable weekend watching photographing shooting stars and then she moved to the states for work. She sent me this song in a message one night. It still brings me tears. |

Same when I split with ex we still took the kids on a holiday we had booked and me and my daughter used to sing it and she used to tell me she listened to it every night before she went to sleep as it reminded her of me and her together |

Kavinsky's Nightcall, unexpectedly listened to on the opening titles of Drive last night. Suddenly not just a silly broody electro pop song, but a requiem to loneliness isolation and loss. |

Desire's 'Under Your Spell' from the same soundtrack floors me every time. Partly because of the sentiment but also because it says so much whilst seemingly doing so little. So simple, its perfect. |

There's a few that make me well up.
Far From Me by Nick Cave is the one that reminds me of she-who-broke-my-heart
Ghost Town by First Aid Kit
What He Wrote by Laura Marling
but the most affecting is "Alicia Ross" by Kathleen Edwards. Bit obscure, even more heartbreaking when you Google the true story. The line "was your darkest day as dark as this one?" is the line that gets me |

Only one song, only once.
Jonathan Coulton - That Spells DNA
https://youtu.be/Mx3xJYXoSoQ
"And while it's killing you dead , it will mess with your head
And it's the light in the dark that will guide you
It's the pages and pages of what you are like
In the giant book that's hidden inside you"
Listening to it while holding my then newborn monster. It just flicked some switch and the tears started. No sobbing, snot bubbles or whatever, just tears. |

I wanna be like you from Jungle Book
Lost my cousin tragically at 39 and it was played as we left the service. Crazy choice but he loved orangutangs. Luckily he had been travelling the year earlier and visited a sanctuary so did at least get to meet some |
