Later today I'll be heading to the train station for my 4 and a half hour commute into work and won't make it back home until mid-afternoon on Thursday. I'm somewhat fortunate in that I only have to travel in to the office once every two months!

What tales of commuter woe do you have to share?

Train?"

I was thinking that. I'm doing Chester to Euston tonight and it only takes a couple of hours.

Yeah maybe, takes me 4 hours door to door, 3.5 by train but then there's always the traffic factor..

It takes me an hour to get the bus into Chester, then a further 2:45 to Cardiff ....

Leave the door at 5:30 am and walk through the office door at 10:30 so I feel your pain

Fortunately I only have to do this every other week or so

I used to do 8-11 buses a day. During peak school run hours.

I survived...just.

I was once travelling on a single decker bus that almost hit a horse that had got spooked (and had a rider on it).

I'm not really religious but i sent up a few prayers that we wouldn't hit them.

Sat in a bus when its trying to do an emergency stop is not fun. My knees took a couple of weeks to get rid of that bruising!

Crikey! That must have been harrowing! I was once on a bus that almost collided with a moose but fortunately we... moosed it.
