"I was so nervous about this beforehand - felt sick, and even wavered a bit at the 11th hour but actually .... it was far more chilled an occasion than I'd imagined (and had got terribly stressed out about) and I had a really good time in the end. My only 'complaint' would be that I didn't get to speak - either for very long, or at all - to everyone I'd have liked to. Which means I suppose I'll have to attend the next one to make up for that! I think the STP saw an opportunity to hold an event in London as it's lacking in these kind of socials. (From what I can tell anyway).

"Really was the most fun and relaxed afternoon/evening and that's in no small part thanks to the organisers. So many people I didn't get to talk to properly that I'm definitely going to have to attend the next one just to catch up with those. Will also have to make sure the after party is better planned so we don't end up on a route march round Covent Garden in a fruitless search for more alcohol!! After party at my house next time!
