So when was the last time you were asked for ID?

Mine was this Saturday gone, nearly 30 and still getting carded

Passport control - it's been YEARS since anything age related! I'm far too wrinkly and haggard to pass as a young 'un these days!

There and to the left a bit

As proof of age? Oh The Dark Ages probably!!

As proof of anything else? When I visited Our Place 4 Fun for the first time in November I think.

A friend and I were asked in Aldi a few weeks ago and my friend isn't far off 40.

Other than that it's been a while, although a lot of bars ask absolutely everyone for ID now and scan them all.

I've never been asked for id unless I'm travelling. When I was a teenager you could get served in pubs underage with very little problem and if they did question your age you just moved on to the pub that didn't.

Probably at ine of the increasing number of London clubs where having ID scanned is a requirement of admission

Some pubs near me require ID, after a certain time of night. I'm usually on my way home by then, being old.

My 27th birthday in October, I don't go out very often.

Up until last year I was occasionally mistaken for still being 16.

The one and only time I've ever been ID'd buying booze, was on my 18th birthday.

Funny story; I was shopping with my mum maybe a year ago at Tesco, and I was buying a bottle of wine for myself for later. My mum god asked for ID, but didn't have any with her (she's nearly 50...) so I couldn't buy the fucking wine!

Quite a few places now have the card scanner so it's not about proving your age it's about the owners knowing whose entering their premises.

Otherwise I haven't been asked to prove my age for a long time, maybe the wrinkles are starting to show

Thats to do with licencing, if some places have a lot of problems with fighting or drugs/OD's then everyone has to have id on them and it be entered so if there is an incident it can be passed to police or ambulance crews
