i Phone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S2

I have a choice between the i Phone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S2, i have spent quite some time reading reviews ect.. on the internet, but was wondering if any one from here has the Samsung Galaxy S2? is it as good as it is made out to be ? |

htc sensation is the 'equivalent' to the galaxy2 - most the reviews I've been reading rate tham about the same so it depends on what you prefer between the 2... I counted the iphone out because it's simply too expensive and you get better functionality from android (yeah, i know, not as many apps but android does have a far bigger market share than iphone), I still haven't decided which i'm going to go for but swaying towards the htc simply because the galaxy feels cheap and plasticy |

i have the htc because it was free.
only downside is that you have to charge it daily.
battery life is crap if you go online,text a lot.
you can buy better battery for it but it turns the phone into a heavy brick.

after losing my phone a wee while ago i was happy to go with one thats a tenner lol...only wanted one with a good camera...altho do miss my old LG as it done slow motion video..mmmmmmmmmm hehehehe- I cant be arsed with using my phone for internet etc etc, until they are full PC(laptop) equiv, I just wont bother and certainly not on heavy price or contracts |

i would like to know if anyone has a windows phone and if they are any good.
i get messenger free on mine anyway but i may look at one if someone can recommend them. |

same issue with any high end smart phone - the technology for phones has improved on a monthly basis but that all still have the same batteries in them that we were using 5 years ago.
so in that respect it doesn't really matter what you choose.
with regards to the iPhone4 - it was old technology the day it came out - which was quite a while ago now- the old HTC desire was well ahead of it in terms of specification from day one and was £20 a month less for a like for like tarrif because it didnt have a peice of plastic shaped like an apple glued to it - and of course since then several phones have surpassed the old Desire.
You could always wait for the next iteration of the iPhone as long as you don't mind the fact that within a month of the release, HTC or Samsung will release an android phone that's twice as good and half the price. But hey - some people like sucking Steve Jobs' cock !  |

I think he's confused - he probably means that the iPhone doesn't allow you to browse web pages that contain a web based multimedia platform called Flash (at last count around 30-40% of all web pages use it).
which is clearly a much bigger problem than not having a flash on your camera |

try doing someting really easy - like changing your wallpaper.
Now try doing it without having to go through iTunes first.
See what I mean?  |

Are you serious?
You are on the image you want... bottom left of page... select 'use as wallpaper'. It's not rocket science 
....nor do you have to go through iTunes! |

TO be fair I'd recommend the new motorola... its really fast.. makes the Iphone look very out dated..
I dislike Iphone anyway, had one to review before they were realised and couldn't believe they still hadn't addressed issues that had been reported on the model before.
I love my android phone's.. have two and a tablet and all three are fantastic. I do have an ipod touch.. but It's poor compared to the htc.. only had a play with the first galaxy...
But I was tempted but stuck with htc.
Mines got a flash too on the camera... as some have been mentioning that.. there are also a few android phone's out with front facing cameras too...

Well considering the Gal S2 is built to be an IPhone killer (at least the current one) I'd have the S2...that's why I got it in the end. Plus the handset is cheaper than the iPhone. With apples product your paying for the name really. Look up iPhone vs Samsung Galaxy S2 and see what you think. But I'm happy using IPod touch and S2, they both could do something better but the android Marketplace is better than iTunes marketplace because a lot is free |
