Central

What speed do you typically drive over speed bumps, relative to the speed limit? A fair few around here seem to need drastic braking before they get to them, at 10-15 mph below the speed of the road (not dur to car contact or form).

Dunno but when I was a kid they put speed bumps all the way down Crackley bank and it was skate board heaven.

About 10 - 15 mph. Some are quite nasty and I crawl over them.

If I am in a hire car. 'What speed bumps'. Again in a build up area, with parked cars, people and reduced visibility I always drive slow.

Depends on what im driving but used to have to slow to about 5mph in many of my cars. My alfa 146 was exceptionally bad with them.

I always tend to do them at about half the speed of the road as do not want to damage my car...

If you value your car you'll go over them gingerly as they knock the fuck out of your suspension and steering

Crawl over them, always under 10mph

Harsh suspension and bottoming out isn't fun

Wakefield

If you cross them at about 40-45 they allow the suspension to react properly and smooth them out

there's a set near me that are far smoother taken at speed ironically...fly over them and you barely notice them

Some are more drastic than others so it's hard to say. But at least I don't have to go over them at an angle anymore
