What speed do you typically drive over speed bumps, relative to the speed limit? A fair few around here seem to need drastic braking before they get to them, at 10-15 mph below the speed of the road (not dur to car contact or form). |

About 10 - 15 mph. Some are quite nasty and I crawl over them.
If I am in a hire car. 'What speed bumps'. Again in a build up area, with parked cars, people and reduced visibility I always drive slow. |

Depends on what im driving but used to have to slow to about 5mph in many of my cars. My alfa 146 was exceptionally bad with them.
I always tend to do them at about half the speed of the road as do not want to damage my car... |

If you value your car you'll go over them gingerly as they knock the fuck out of your suspension and steering |

"If you cross them at about 40-45 they allow the suspension to react properly and smooth them out"
there's a set near me that are far smoother taken at speed ironically...fly over them and you barely notice them |
