The town oregon in the usa is for sale for $3.8mill, the deal includes six houses, a flat, petrol station and a shop, roughly 250 people live in the surrounding area, can a town really be up for it? |

A town called Tiller in Oregon with a few houses on 250 acres of land...
Approximately £3.2 million including the school and a few other things...
And apparently Yes if you're the owner of all bar 2 parts of it...

There is a fella raffling his country house in Lancashire as he can't achieve the asking price of £650k it cost to renovate it. He's had offers of £450-500k but thinks raffling it at £2 a ticket will bring in the purchase price. It's enormous and looks gorgeous. Search 'win a country house', maybe add Lancashire if you have difficulty. |

It's a completely renovated Georgian /Victorian country pile. There was talk when I saw it that there was nothing to stop people who had money to spend from buying £50k worth of tickets to increase their chances of being picked, selling it for whatever if they won. |

I'm no house buff but did think that too so looked the houses history for the answer and it says much the same. I haven't entered it either but it is a lovely ol pad |
