Do you have any tips to get motivated to goto the gym?

Just lately I have been tired through work and have been missing quite a lot of training or making excuses as why not to go.This needs to change. What keeps you going?

Any top tips?

Early morning sessions. I talk myself out of going during the day, however if I'm there for 6.30 am I'm done before work.

Treat it like a business commitment. Put it in your calendar. Work toward engraining as a committment.

Make it part of your daily routine, the hardest part about going to the gym is getting your ass of the chair and going

LOL, same here! I've suggested they open at 5.30 because that would really fit in with my life. The staff were not so enthusiastic about this idea.

I can't think why

Just go anyway, so that you keep a routine. Ensure it's as easy to be there as possible - like others here, I often go ultra early, so it's done before the day takes much energy.

Ensure your programme is right for you - it could help motivate you.

If you stick at it, it becomes habit-forming. I don't really think about it now, its just something I do.

Motivation to go to the gym????Is your goal aesthetics, looking good on night out in 'two sizes too small' t shirt or healthy fitness?,Don't go to the gym, walk, cycle, hilly areas best, calesthenics, work out at home, have fun, play at it,don't just lift weights.....For the sake of lifting weights

I train with a friend but it's mid day due to his childrens schedule as it's the only time of day he is child free. So I dun wanna let him or mysen down. I find that helps. Also makes us push further when training

Ideally both

LOL does bootcamp as it gets her the results she wants and having an instructor who trains fighters is a big plus, seeing familiar faces and recognition of each others achievements as people tend to pick regular sessions is good motivation too...

xx

i go when it's quiet and i can go on whatever i want mostly and there's nobody about to stare at me. plus the feeling after i've done an hour on everything is like i'm buzzing, i'm tired but feel really good. that helps a lot.

did go yesterday when it was mildly busy and there was like a family of 6 people on the weights stuff and they were banging about a lot and making too much noise and it was pissing me off so i left earlier than usual.

how do you gain muscle in the under part of you arms? top part of mine is gaining ok but the bottom, nothing.

my ex said you do exercises where your arms are behind you instead of in front, is that right? seems hard work and i'm lazy.

. These commitments can also be moved. If you miss one day. Gonthe next, but don't let them pile up. Try not to cancel them all together.

Look with clarity & honesty what you're training for.

What do you want to achieve?

How will you do it?

When will it happen?

Write it down, and look at it every day.

If, after that, you're struggling with motivation,

You lied to yourself, with your 3 answers.

My most recent excuse for not going was 'I'll never get a locker.'

I'm going for a run tomorrow and WILL do at least two gym days in the next week.

I try and leave fresh gym stuff on the car so whenever I go out for anything I'm normally already half to the gym.

Been using an app to record my progress, only joined the gym in Jan but have now done over a 100km and only spend a third of my time doing cardio

When having a short break I check out who's local on fab telling myself one day they'll be a hot lady that wants to meet me in the sauna afterwards
