I do prefer the BSB myself more value for money and it's anyone's championship. Going to be interesting to see Brookes back on the Yahama. |

Obviously they've moved on since my day, but ma Becket tuned RD400 was quicker round the circuit than ma Z750 by at least 2 minutes |

Rossi die hard here too, but young Maverick might be a strong contender. Can't wait to see Lorenzo throw his dummy either, either he's going to be shit hot or fail big time.
I just want everyone to be safe, and make a good full season for everyone. |

Have a great time at the TT. I'VE never been myself but its somewhere I would like to go in the future.
Wouldn't mind also going to the Northwest as well. Track racing is good but my god you need balls of steel for the street racing. |

Vinales will be a strong challenger for the title. As for Marquez, it depends on how well he gets on with the latest updates on the bike; he's a great race rider but he can't develop a bike. Top 5 finish for Cal if he continues to ride like he did in the last half of last season |

Although a nice guy Dani is the nearly man of MotoGP and I can't be the only one thinking if Uncle whatshisface wasn't high up at Repsol (& therefore wherever Dani goes they go) would Honda have got shot of him years ago?

I think maverick will be definitely in the mix for the championship with Marquez and Rossi.
Last season showed there can be plenty of riders capable of winning if the track suits, iannone, Dovi, Pedrosa and Lorenzo are all potential regular winners, maybe even another crutchlow win??
Plus it's more fun if iannone is in the mix. |

Always been a Suzuki fan but both the team and Maverick will not be able to afford any mistakes or glitches in their season to be in with a chance...
Marquez will be confident again of taking the title with The Doctor pushing him all the way...
Have to agree with others Ped, Dov and Lore are all going to be in the also rans...
Cal nees consistency and be in the top 3 more often, maybe this year he might realise the potential he's shown in the past...
A last race decider whoever is gonna win is always good to see...

I love crutchlow. I remember chasing him around the NEC so I could get my Tech3 Cap signed. If he could stay on the bike more he be definitely more of a disturbance to the results. Fingers crossed Honda are generous with the parts and one day when Pedrosa leaves Repsol he might finally get the ride he as always deserved. |

A friend won an MCN competition five years ago but was working abroad so arranged for me to take his place as it was a few days after my 50th.
The prize? A morning at Silverstone with the BBC MotoGp team & on the full GP track with the Tech3 riders...Cal & Bradley..
Loved the day, although Smithy showing off hoiking the front of a big bang R1 at 80mph and keeping it there while you accelerate next to him up to 130+ does rather make you realise your limitations.
Did get a pat on the back from Cal though as he said my TLS made a wicked amount of noise (I almost got asked to leave apparently as it was over the days allowed noise limit).

"We was at silverstone last year, the signal is really crap, finally logged on site, just one single guy near, and he was leaving, typical haha,
It's getting expensive now though, phew"
I stopped going to all but clubman racing in the UK years ago, I go to the Bikers Classic in Spa most years. Ferry £40, ticket about £40 for the weekend, camping £20 per person. Go Thursday come back Monday..all pre 85 stuff though plus a classic four hour endurance Sat evening.
Trip to the town after putting tent up, a few crates & throwaway bbq's, munch & job done. Camp in the same spot & bump into the same mutters from all over Europe

got so used to him from last year, just did the same in a convo with a mate as this thread got us discussing this season...
A good point he made was it's a shame that he went as after such a good performance last year would have been interesting to see him carry on getting more podiums through his ride style, can't blame him for going though as that's what he wanted so hopefully he can be another contender as he settles in to a new bike...

Top speed is fairly easy to fix, so I should imagine Honda aren't too worried. It's the handling Honda (or Marquez) has had issues with; once again proof he can't develop a bike preferring to leave to the engineers |

I do watch the TT avidely, such brilliant racing"
I go to the Bikers Classic in Spa most years, they celebrated 50 yrs of the RG500 a couple of years ago. All the period 500's, even the Monoque KR500 Kawasaki, Steve Platter who I know through work was on the last of the RGV500's he told us to listen as the bikes went up Eau Rouge, the earlier bikes drop two gears at the bottom bend, platter on the later bike just throttled off & did the whole thing 40mph faster & still in top pulling hard overtaking the earlier stuff all the way up the hill..

Wifey, nope
Me, ok I give up
Wifey, I've just signed up to BT sport, now you can watch MotoGP live all weekend for a year.
Me, get up those stairs now haha "
Good girl! Mrs P has just signed up to MotoGP videopass. She knows how to make me horny! Means we can watch on the tablet when away. Will be making our annual pilgrimage to Silverstone lively camping for the race. Wednesday to Monday, yes we're hardcore!
Will always be #46 but hoping Viñales rakes up the mantel when Vale retires.
Bring on the season! |

Zarco... Wow! He's one to watch. Dovi is always going to be a weapon and good to see him finishing so far ahead of the Duke number 2 rider
Mav and Vale showing how it's done.
Nice to see a podium of genuinely nice guys. I think it's going to be a hell of a season! Roll on Argentina. Oh and our long weekend at Silverstone! |

Well one person wasn't so surprised by Zarco...
"Zarco's gonna go all Marquez '13 and leave Suzuki scratching their heads and going all "Ianonne...wtf were we thinking""
Aleix Espargaro had a good ride getting that Aprilia up to 5th or 6th |

I totally agree with all of the above, it's about time we had a good shake up, but I don't think yesterday's race was enough to show what's really going to happen, daylight might make all the difference. But still good to a close race yesterday and no injuries. |
