How big is too big...when it comes to text.

Many women will say 'nobody bothers reading profiles, why bother'.
So some profiles are short. One line maybe. Even a funny quote why it's short. (Some have me literally laughing to myself). But this makes some profiles look lazy.
Many men's messages are said to be short, to the point and look lazy to the recipient. Some men have explained, it's pointless putting the effort in, it will only be deleted.
Shouldn't we all put the effort in and try and break this chain that seems to be ongoing?
Or is this it? It is how it is and we have to accept our own pessimistic attitudes?
I'm starting with the man in th,....sorry.

It's all a matter of opinion really - in just this past week I've been told both that my profile is the best solo male profile that a couple had seen, and by another that it's far too long - so at the end of the day you have to go with what you personally are happy with.
Do however think that some effort is needed to at least put some meat on the bones telling the reader a little about you, what you are looking for and what you can offer.
And it's not just single male profiles that are guilty of having next to nothing either!! |

Definately,we get fed up people not reading and we always read to make sure we may match before sending a message.
It only takes a couple of mins,we would much prefer a longer more informed profile ,than one that tells us nothing about them.

Some profiles are like War & Peace though, i mean seriously, i've read Terms and Conditions with less wordage.
And as an ex Legal Secretary it's been drummed into me to always read everything.
No wonder i'm too tired for sex, it's all the long male profiles i'm reading!!
That's my excuse anyway  |

Go somewhere in the middle? A little bit of who you are and what you want but not so far as to repeat the sane thing over and over with rules and regulations and aggressive undertones? |
