Morning all, today is the day I go and get myself a new car (although it could be tomorrow as F1 Qualifying is at 14:00) ......spending lots of money on it, so I can have a little fun and enjoy myself before I need to be toooo serious
I'm looking to get either one of different very different vehicles, but if I don't get either of those, what others would people suggest I look at? |

For fun and quirkiness, the MINI!
The new Countryman is great fun, and one day, I shall get one.
Don't think I would get rid of my existing MINI though, as she has been there for me for the past 9+ years, and I love her to bits.

Depends what you are looking for.. small and fun.... new clio is fantastic... or want small, fun but stylish there are the small fiats or alfas...
Do you want comfort, or is that not important... fastest and most fun car I ever had was my type r subaru... under 4 secs to 60... handling that was a dream and a sound that was just lovely... and being a 2dr it looked as it should too... but it was thirsty , expensive when it went wrong but smiles per miles was worth every penny...
But why not get two wheels...

New skyline would be a very good choice... astons are nice but break often and are not that well built inside... but you can kinda forgive them.
To the op what you wanting it for... ? Fun, track days., posing in... do you need more than 2 seats... ?
If I was buying a fast luxury car at minute I would by m5. (Black with red leather)small car... new Williams clio... luxury normal car I'd have a fully speced range rover. (White with black leather ) convertable... new alfa spider. (White with red leather) or money no object... mk1 escort... and all of the above lol

Wow, I honestly didn't think this would be that popular. All sorts of interesting ideas have come up
OK, I am not a fan of small cars like 'hot hatches', although I was looking to see what the DS3 is like.
The new skyline, well, thats just loverly, but is a couple of rungs up the ladder away yet....
The car I am looking to get is a 2006 Impreza WRX, its very subtle looking, no gold alloys or HUGE spoilers, but my sensible side is telling me that it is all too much money for that.
So, if I bottle it and don't get it, i need to think of something else. To be honest, I am probably just being indecisive.
Thanks for all the responses though guys, I know this thread isn't about sex, but I could start taking names of who's going to help me christen it |

Well, the owner of the dealership decided to sell the car the other night, to his mate while they were playing golf! So, I am back on the look again, but I'm now thinking I might get an old merc and get a nice paint job done on it :D |

The Subaru is a good buy if you can afford the running costs... I've had two... a classic type r and a new age wrx... servicing is expensive but I found it worth every penny.
The club events are amazing too... very good days out... variety of people.. oh and not forgetting the faithful following of the car tarts.

"Can't afford the new skyline yet but I am looking at a couple of the older 2 door type R Impreza, but got to check the insurance on that first lol "
Last time I checked it was about £760quid for me... although I suggest you try a plan for insurance. They are great for things like that..
With the 2dr type r ( unless your going for a p1 in which case ignore this) Make sure they have an aftermarket ecu and have been remapped for our fuel....
but I have to say mine was the most awesome car I have ever had... not many cars that fit the family that can do sub 4 sec 0-60 ( mine wasnt quite standard but most arent)
make sure you get one well looked over.. if you get one I know some fantastic sites for advice on them.
