So with Mothers day rapidly approaching and all the reminders I'm finding it harder and harder to try and not think about the fact I lost mine 4 years ago to a heart attack.
I was hoping to start a post for those of us that have lost a mother or a close one, maybe share a nice memory or something.
I would buy my mum flowers for mothers day and chocolate liqours, she'd always joke "Which graveyard did you nick those from". It started because when I was about 7 or 8 I had no money but wanted to get her something nice, so when I strolled in the house with a bouquet of flowers... alarm bells started ringing.
Miss you mum. X |

Awww that's lovely op, keep your memories as close to your heart as you kept your mum. My mum is still with us but my bio mum died a few years ago now, I wish I had listened to my heart n got to know her better.

"When my mum died I was told it wouldn't get easier. I don't really feel it does, you just don't think about it as often."
That's true. There just seems a big hole, where she was. It's all the 'firsts' that are difficult. |
