Yes, not much is happening in the london forum, compared to the scotland and ireland one, they got a whole community thing going on. |

i used to go in to try and liven it up but there was never anything to post in really, mostly people wanting meets from what i remember. |

Yes the transport links from Croydon into central are good, at least during the day. Late nite you may be a bit cut off and the cab fare may end up costing more than the savings.
Maybe try The Continental hotel in Paddington or a budget chain like Ibis or Easy Hotel. |
