Looking at having it done in the not too distant future, has anyone had it done, if yes, where, would also like to hear off anyone who's had it done abroad, especially Prague |

"I'm not looking for the cheapest but being quoted £4000 is a little bit expensive when the procedure is over and done with in minutes"
£4000 to have your eyesight at its best? Wouldn't say that's expensive! |

Had mine done by Ultralase in Reading. It was £4k (but my work got me 10% discount) but totally worth it. It's not the sort of thing that I'd look for a cheap deal on.
The only regret is that I hadn't had it done sooner. |

I had it done in Glasgow last year. Cost just under £5000 and i paid it in 10 months interest free. I still sometimes find it hard seeing at night and i can get a lil starry eyed looking at car lights etc but for the most part its great. My eye sight was so bad to begin with! |

I had mine done about 5 years ago. Think i paid about 3.5k for it. Still think it was worth it.
It was the type of thing that i didn't want to skimp on. Every extra that "made healing quicker" etc i went for.
Just make sure you have someone to drive you home. Also i would recommend you have it done as late in the day as possible. I went home and straight to bed with sleeping tablets and painkillers. You can't really do anything else. Then woke up at 1am, all pain gone and vision perfect! Was running around the house with excitement! |

The reason why I would not do delicate surgery such as on the eyes abroad is the fact the price is practically the same as abroad. You also need to think that if something goes wrong in the long run your costs are covered to travel back and forth overseas.
I know I'll have it done in the UK when the time comes. For now I started wearing glasses 2 years ago (which annoy the living daylights out of me) but will be looking into it in the near future. |
