I was watching something on TV and wanted to know your opinion of someone who worked as a dominatrix. Although, it's in the "sex" industry, supposedly there is no actual sex involved. Would you date or have a relationship with that person knowing what she does for a living? From what I saw, the people on the show more or less didn't like what that woman did for a living and said she should do something else to support her kids. Now, if we were talking about prostitution in the sense that we know it or being an escort, I can see the attitude because it's the selling of one's body.

Why should it bother anyone as to what someone else does for a living be it a dominatrix or escort/prostitute or any other form of work?

People should really focus on what they are doing themselves in their lives rather than what other people are doing or offering.

A true domme will never offer sex during a session but an escort/prostitute will.

There are quite a few escorts on here (for fun in their spare time) that will reply to this message no doubt under the illusion that they are not prostitutes.

Yes you are. You meet clients, money exchanges hands adult fun happens & hey your the same.

We have not got any problems with anyone in the sex industry.

Exactly our point it is no-ones business on a programme - swing site or in real life how anyone earns their money (as long as it's not illegal).

Life is for living & not for worrying what other people are doing.

Live life to the max as this life your living is not a rehearsal, its the real thing.

Our motto in life is try everything at least 3 times at least then you know you like it.

I suppose its similar to the women answering telephone calls and talking dirty. I read an article somewhere saying a lot of housewives are employed on sex lines.

Sex sells, no matter how its dressed up.

So if you can make a few quid out of it, at the same time as fulfilling someones fantasy, then why not.

I have been trying to give my body away to others for most of my adult life. The chance of being paid for doing what I'd do willingly in the presence of a pulse is hardly demeaning.

In my experience it's not selling your body that demeans people - it' having to sell your body because you're skint that is demeaning.

i have to disagree(i know it happens ) i do not see why it is any less or more demeaning than been spat at or abused working the night shift at MacDonalds.

If a woman can make the same money working on her back in a few hours as she can slaving away at a dead end job,why is that demeaning?

Far worse (imo) are the lasses i know who get hammered and shagged behind the pub at 3;am cos they will not accept that they have sexual needs.

A pulse eh?Is that a hard limit

Go look round, quite a lot of ladies do this professionally and make a good living at it. It is work and does not spill into their everyday lives.

I actually personally know two professional dominatrixes

Who have established businesses and provide in my opinion a valuable service

Although i personally would never pay for anything connected to sex (Even if it was just domination) I certainly would not put anyone down fa doing it or the service providers xx

That's what we've always said to these people who say that working in the sex industry degrades women.

Not at all, its working all hours in a factory for the minimum wage that's degrading.

Being exploited by unscrupulous bosses that's degrading.

Being payed great money for something you'd normally do just for fun? No.....we wouldn't call that degrading.

There was a time where sex workers in most areas were accepted as providing a genuine service .. but sadly sex outside of marriage became something that was sinful... there for sex workers helping people commit sin..

This exact question was on a fetish site I'm on... and it was asked would you date a pro domme... and a few people explained there relationships in that way. I know if my master wanted to do it pro I'd not have an issue... its a job doing something that would be enjoyable..
