I do bareback with people I trust because I really don't like condoms, but at least for a first meet or two I still use them.
The only time I've been willing to do bareback with someone the first time is recently with a partner who I'd met socially a few times, I really trusted him, and he'd confided in me that he'd had a really long dry spell so I wasn't concerned at all. |

Have had amazing sex with a condom, makes no difference. Just find the brand for you.

Bareback is fine with long term partner but on a site such as this you are dicing with death literally.
Sexually transmitted diseases including HIV are still around and always will be .....when choosing bareback do you ask for health record showing that person disease free.
There are condoms out there for everyone even folks like me with allergies ....try Skyns and save yourself a trip to the clap clinic xx |

Absolutely, this is a necessity and I d also be fair and get tested to put them at ease. Need to try new condoms out aside from the standard ones so thanks for recommendation, any more are welcome. |

Yes HIV is up as are alot of other sexually transmited diseases.
The medical society says its because of the ease of getting hook ups on internet sites including dating sites.
Also Aids is up among heterosexuals as alot of Bi/FAB straight guys who indulge in high risk homosexual activities are hiding this fact and barebacking women who are unaware of this guys homosexual activities.
Then a heterosexual guy barebacks the same woman and put himself at the same risk.
Only way to be safe is to glove up abstain or have one regular monogamous partner where both of you have been tested properly.
Play with fire and your going to fet burned eventually .

I read some where that in London the number of HIVpos gay men might be as high as 1 in 8.
On apps like Grindr it's not that uncommon to see a guy on there in the morning, back on a few hours later, then back again in the afternoon, annnd in the evening. I know guys who will meet two or three different fellas for sex on their days off work and add a few evening meets in on school nights.
On fabguys, you can put bare back down as a like and search out guys who want unprotected sex.

Bear in mind they're 1-3% of the population; the fact the heteros are 46% of carriers means nothing when 1-3% of the population are 38% or whatever it was; that is called an overrepresentation. Someone kept mentioning it to me the other week; she also said not had sex since august but then when speaking on phone said December and mentioned bareback again- that was a deal breaker. You have some weirdos in the world who infect people on purpose so you have to be so careful. |

Despite what many think, testing doesn't prevent STI's it just informs you after they have caught the STI.
In the case of HIV, it can take up to 3 months incubating in someones body, when it can't be detected in a test, but they can still pass it on.
If someone gets tested every 3 months, they can still spend up to 6 months passing HIV on to BB partners.
We get tested and think it is important as a back up, but always use a condom swinging. |

There's more than just HIV to be worrying about! HPV is the 2nd most common sti and can be passed on simply be giving oral! A condom won't make any difference in that situation. And the scary thing is that 8 out of 10 people will get HPV at some point in their lives! But to answer the op's question. ..defo not worth the risk! Just my opinion! ! |

In terms of homophobia the issue people would have is your suggestion that HIV risk has increased in heterosexual because of gay & bisexual men.
Heterosexual people (particularly those over 50) are the fastest growing group of new HIV infections because they don't think they're at risk and so are more likely to have unprotected sex.
Yes HIV infection is significantly higher among gay/bi men, but there is a significant minority of gay/bi men, particularly on the scene in London who fetishise bareback sex and have lots of it in the knowledge they will inevitably become HIV+.
I have many gay friends and know people who are part of that scene, one in particular who deliberately became HIV+ that way.
The majority of gay and bisexual men are actually much more careful and knowledgeable about the risks of HIV and other STIs that the average heterosexual person.
The real risk group is people who think 'it's only really gay/bi men who have HIV'.
Aside from the health risks, hetrosexual bareback sex is never worth is for an unsnipped man. 18 years of 15% of your income being taken from you is not worth it!

Safe sex only.. always use a condom.. although risks are low you can still catch std's via oral but they stay in the throats unless you have open sores in you're mouth.. but having oral with a condom is pointless lol |
