Has anyone read the absolute piece of nonsense written by Melanie Phillips
She starts her article with 'Nationalist claims of Scots and Northern Irish don’t outweigh the ancient unity of the British Isles'
How the devil did this get published?
Has she not read her history? |

Don't really care about Scotland, I think if they went down the road of independence it would ruin the place financially.
Northern Ireland however, we spent from 1969 until 2007, preventing it falling into the hands of what I personally saw as criminal, degenerate, psychopaths hell bent on forcing their personal politics on mainly law abiding British citizens.
Can we not forget op Banner please. |

Because the several hundred years of enforced rule from the English wasn't managed by the criminal, degenerate psychopaths with their own personal politics and agendas from the cesspit that is Westminster and the surrounding areas that have insisted in invading and interfering with half the bloody planet for the benefit of the few |

So were you one of the researchers for the ill-informed journalist. As your arguments are definitely not based any reasonable facts. Have a look at the years leading upto and including the potatoe famine then think things through to why 1916 happened. Also look at what happened in Derry on bloody Sunday.
Know your history and leave the rubber bullets out of the discussion. Please. |

72 Londonderry 1 para have been cleared by how many enquiries? PIRA were linked to the PLO Gadaffi and Red Moscow. The fresh round of troubles were an extension of the Cold War. Linked to deep seated sectarianism, and ineffective and predudiced policing.
Would you rather it was left to turn into a blood bath?

I'd like to say the difference was I did it but I didn't enjoy it.
But I don't lie I fuckin loved it. Street patrols, stop searches, night time rural patrols, OPs, public order, sitting in a Sanger aiming the Gimpy at passing kids heads. Aiming an SA80 with an illegally chambered round at suspects while gently taking up first pressure.
The only bad thing I can say is the last 4 monther lost me a partner I really cared about due to the army at the time having a homophobic policy.
But I was legally employed and serving my country not a terrorist.
Yellow card, rule of law.
Thin red line.
I did prefer the countryside in Kosovo though. |

I'm sure that the republicans of whatever stripe from 1641 - present would also argue that they were serving their country.
Who's law? The law of an occupying force?
"Terrorist" is purely a propagansists term, it can be used to describe whoever you don't like at the time. I'm sure that in many countries over many centuries the English could have easily been described thus.

Read what I've written. I don't doubt at all that the Jihadists have used terror in their war defending their particular sky-pixie, but I also don't dounbt that other forces in that conflict have too. "
They are just as likely to respect your opinion as I am. |

Northern Ireland however, we spent from 1969 until 2007, preventing it falling into the hands of what I personally saw as criminal, degenerate, psychopaths hell bent on forcing their personal politics on mainly law abiding British citizens.
Because the several hundred years of enforced rule from the English wasn't managed by the criminal, degenerate psychopaths with their own personal politics and agendas from the cesspit that is Westminster and the surrounding areas that have insisted in invading and interfering with half the bloody planet for the benefit of the few
This - The Empire was hardly a co-op....
Yeah but I loved using a Baton legally and rubber bullets gave me a semi.
If that statement is serious, maybe you should reconsider who it is with the psycopathic tendancies
Don't all millitary forces use terror as a weapon?
I really cannot believe what I have read here..
Pointing a loaded weapon at kids.. you sick Bastard..
Yeah they may be horrible little fucks, throwing stones and abuse at us while we patrol but we, the British forces, were better than that
. Well, at least the guys I served with were...
But a stone doesn't equate to the kinda lethal force that'll open a skull like a fucking watermelon...
Im glad I now deal with bringing non lethal weapons into corevl use so morons like you cannot do harm...
.
Yep that should get me a time out, but he fuck it, twats like you fucking sicken me.."
Yeah but we did the hard work didn't we |
