I was just browsing through some pics on here and some of the ladies give me photo envy but then I noticed some are obviously adjusted with filters etc...what is the point ? If Andy takes a pic and it gets me at the just the right angle lol then great but surely when you have a meet any flaws you are trying to conceal on your pics are going to be out there to see ?
If it makes you feel better then great but I just don't see the point or maybe it's just me ? |

Totally agree I'm far from a model but we're all different and that's what some find attractive in others - me I like a guy with a hairy chest and gruff voice but then a guy in a sharp suit would also get my attention. There's no need to photoshop your pics - let ppl see the real you flaws an all I say. |

The first manipulated image was around 1857. Hollywood stars in the 30's had the negatives manipulated by drawing on them with graphite pencils.
Nearly every magazine photo is photoshopped to some degree; just as it was manipulated in the darkroom days.
Vaseline can be smeared on a lens to give a soft focus' effect.
A long focal length lens can be used to reduce features like a big nose.
Studio lighting can be used to hide/emphasise body image.
Where exactly would you like to draw the line? |

I don't use any filters apart from the brightness etc, always try to think of different pictures but would never try to make myself look better, hence why I have my latest ones showing my stomach as that is my problem area |

The only thing I adjust is the lighting to make myself look slightly warmer as I'm rather pale, or to add a frame to be different, or to make them B & W.
I personally don't see the problem with being creative with just a little hint of colour.
I much prefer to see that some effort and imagination has been put into a picture, rather than just a random 'snap and post'. |

Thank you, we keep unedited images in our private folder so nobody is being led on. Our public face is the artist in me (mr) |

We don't edit our photos apart from maybe cropping them or turning them from colour to black and white. No point us using photoshop or one of our other image editors especially as we go on cam in the chatrooms which shows us as we are. |

There is nothing wrong with the of filters or effects to improve an image,
It can make images far more interesting for those of us that enjoy images for the whole thing rather than just a picture of a person.. |

If people want to be creative and present themselves in their best light; fine as long as they are not trying to be deceptive.
I have much more of a problem with stolen and old images.
For example the current hottest male image appears on 7 other websites; the earliest being 2014
The top female photo is found on 28 other websites the earliest going back to 2013
These may or may not belong to the profiles in question but giving them the benefit of the doubt - which is more likely to be a good representation a recent one with some 'filters' as you call it or a four year old photo? |
