Firstly I'd like to thank you all again for your support, I didn't get the response I was hoping for but at least I now know the situation.

I didn't get a reply from my daughters but their mother, telling me they no longer considered me their father and not to contact them again. That is a potted version of the message but gives you the general idea.

Thank you again as I will not be making anymore comments on the post.

Roy

Soz to hear that, but don't ever give up hope that one day they will contact you............. at least they know you wanted to contact them - just keep the door open if they ever do get in touch.

sorry to hear it didnt work out.....if it is the first time of contacting in 8 years i would imagine that you have stirred a bit of anger from within not only your daughters but by the sound of it the mother as well.....and that maybe explains the response.....i would however reply and say that you would still hope that one day your daughters may reconsider.........you were their father after all for twelve years ...surely that must count!! and let them know that the door is always open for them to get in touch. of course your daughters may wish an explanation for your absence over the years....cos without knowing the reasons for the break up im assuming that no xmas or bday cards were sent. i "missed" the 1st 18 months of my daughters life............knowing she was in ireland somewhere and having been told that i wasnt welcome to contact killed me.......i gave up for a year but then became more determined to see what i played a part in creating.........after several emails and several p/calls i met and seen that beautiful little girl for the first time on 19th november 2007 and have been in regular contact and visit every few weeks ever since......so where there is a will there is a way....dont give up....and as was said before always leave the door open and you just never know

wishing you all the best
