Has anyone ever borrowed someone else's computer/laptop and came across content that cast the other person in a new light?
I am talking legal stuff before anyone pipes up. We know the boundaries here...
I had occasion to do some maintenance on an old friend's Apple Mac computer who was in his 60s and was a contented, pipe smoking, quiet but chatty man and accidentally found a stash of images relating to what can only be described as "pony play" and I don't mean of the equine type either... I was quite taken aback that this mild mannered OAP would be into that but fair enough if he likes it.
Anyone else with similar that shocked you about a person you know well? |

I wouldn't let anyone other than Marc near my laptop If I ever have a computer problem too complicated for him, then I'll take a hammer to my hard drive and call it a day.
And I'm not good enough with computers for anyone to ask for my help, so I (luckily) haven't seen anyone else's secrets, either. |

I think most people would be the same, not sure if there is a foolproof way of wiping a hard drive anyway other than battering it with a hammer... some guru will tell us. |

My bro gave me his step sons laptop n on it I found suicide letters and pics of a tree in a graveyard with comments about suicide. I told my bro as I was concerned and it turned out it was his friend who had committed suicide. She was a very talented artist. Who has had a few books published and has a website dedicated to her paintings and poems.

"You do need to physically destroy the platters within the drive (unless you have a degausser) to be sure.
" .
I put my old laptop on the log burner just to make sure |

"If not the equine kind then dafuqqqq is pony play?"
Ok so I'm easily amused and unfortunately I read this in a public place surrounded by ppl. As I said easily amused so I was crying laughing which attracted some attention. I decided the best course of action was to leave via the nearest exit quickly. However I didn't realise there would be so little resistance when I yanked the door open, it flew open so far it hit some poor guy stood behind the door!! The guy despite nearly being knocked unconscious and will probably have concussion took it very well. I'm now sat in my car unable to drive hysterical laughing!! Moral to that story no fab in a public place lol |
