I lost a friend to prostate cancer yesterday. Not very old and one of the nicest guys you could meet.
My dad passed away from the same disease.
Lovely men of Fab please don't ignore any signs you might have. |

Whenever I do a charity fundraiser it's always for Orchid:
"Orchid exists to save men's lives from testicular, prostate and penile cancers through pioneering research and promoting awareness"
All of my paternal side, have had prostate cancer, and they've all come through ok 
I'd also recommend checking out Oddballs too  |

I think once men get to 45 they should be offered a PSA check. I know that it is not the only indicator but a start. |

Im at the age where i should go and get checked,but most guys are embarassed about going docs and having a finger up their ass including me,sad but unfortunately true |

I have three brothers and only one of them has been checked. They are silly boys.
Nobody likes being examined internally. Equally you wouldn't want to be on here with a willy that cannot work

Blood test for PSA which isn't the only indicator. |

Prostate-specific antigen, or PSA, is a protein produced by cells of the prostate gland. The PSA test measures the level of PSA in a man’s blood. For this test, a blood sample is sent to a laboratory for analysis. The results are usually reported as nanograms of PSA per milliliter (ng/mL) of blood.
The blood level of PSA is often elevated in men with prostate cancer, and used to monitor the progression of prostate cancer in men who had already been diagnosed with the disease. . Men who report prostate symptoms often undergo PSA testing to help doctors determine the nature of the problem.
Its not a nailed on test but a good indicator of a potential problem.

Hi I ve had prostrate cancer had my prostrate removed I've survived that but then was incontinent and suffering from errectile dysfunction I had to inject my penis to get an errecton I've just now had a penile implant which I can't use for the next 4 weeks then hopefully I will get back to normality I love sex and can't wait to get back to it so I know how bad it can do to your life but hey any sort of cancer can |
