Yes but would they? Could they - legally? That is what I think Kev is saying x |

"And yes the can do so legally and you can get stuck off the nursing register. "
Just cause I'm interested - how would they justify it legally? As after all it is between consenting adults and presumably not happening on the premises? xx |

"Just curious and I'm not having a pop at the people that posted earlier on another thread, would they be the Police force, civil servants etc ? "
not the police force unless at a senior level & then it would be more PR motivated
school teachers i would say are on dodgy ground esp if showing face & candid pics - due to parental perceptions etc
you know some fuckwit mindsets will be teacher = swinger = perve = paedo |

"It's a good question Kev....
For many it's not so much that they can lose their jobs but that such exposure could ruin their careers re future promotions etc.
"
Very good point, I wonder what the chances are though |

i have my own little empire so probably have it easier on this score than others
despite the fact i constantly outrage myself, i haven't yet got further than issuing myself a 1st written warning
on a serious side though, i work in a very male dominated, all boys together industry and i do sometimes wonder what the reaction would be from a clients perspective if my liking for some occasional cock came to the fore |

yes its ridiculous what people post on there about their jobs and with pics! it makes me cringe
prospective employers will also have a look at your page if its available to check you out
we have heard of more than one person losing a job because of innocently posted comments about their jobs |

Correct and the same applies to other professionally registered people such as counsellors, psychologists etc. it's referred to as bringing the profession into disrepute if anything you do in your private life is brought into the public domain. Personally I don't agree with it and think it's very judgemental. |

Employers and future employers and recruitment agencies use Facebook to research applicants/employees. There is a lot you can be misjudged over in that way. So beware! |

It's a funny old world. We know seven poeple who are nurses (two male) and all sleep around and brag at work! But if they were swingers they'd get the sack????
Anyone else been to a Nurses party?? We been to two and they really opened our eyes.. |

I think this needs to be put into proportion a bit. You can only sack someone for gross misconduct and being a swinger does not constitute gross misconduct in it's self.
What might constitute gross misconduct might be a police officer or nurse attending parties in their uniforms or any activity connected to their job and even that would be hard to evidence.
People posing on here in their uniforms, police, armed services etc do so to attract attention to their profession and use it to impress people. If they are stupid enough to do that they suffer the consequenses if they get recognised by someone from work.

There's morally unaceptable behaviour and there's consenting adult activities where no one is hurt. I think they'd find that one a hard one to persue! |

Any where you signed an employment contract that included a clause saying you would do nothing in your personal life that was immoral/would bring the employer into disrepute.
Sadly nearly all public sector employees could be sacked. |

Police, Forces, some parts of the Civil service, Foriegn Office, Military company employees - All have security clearance which can be revoked for any reason.
Teachers, Child minders, care workers, doctors, nurses. None would automatically loose jobs but parents/patients would raise questions making positions untennable.
It's not fair - but it's true |

Unfortunately the Human Rights act has an opt out for "National Security", which the government can interpret however it wants. It's a bummer! |

But again it's evidencing disrepute. Behaving sensibly while being a swinger would not constitute disrepute. Only foolish people would leave them selves open to that allegation. Though I'm sure there are plenty on here who lose their common sense where sex is involved |

Yes...it sucks but if your private life is deemed by those employing you to bring them into disrepute, then it is p 45 time. |

Doctors as well as nurses have a duty of care to the public 24/7. In professional and legal terms their codes of professional conduct impose to act as respectable members of sociaety and uphold the professional they practice at all times. Even a silly fight can get these groups into serious trouble and jeopardise their professional integrity. This includes sexual practices that publically could place in shame the name of these professions. I know!!! Stings but its the way!! LOL Anyway, I hope this may answer your question xx |

Most companies have a clause in contracts about bringing company name into disrepute but I guess anyone whose work associates them with kids, schools or anyone who's 'at risk' has a higher chance than the rest of getting fired. For most it would probably be an end to promotion due to 'dodgy morals'. |

Not at all, the 'outside world' knocks what it doesn't understand so would be interesting to see an employer state ignorance and prejudice as evidence in an Industrial Tribunal. They would have to evidence how you brought the 'company' into disrepute. |
