Can now start posting since i av got ma 3rd coffee, but since im stopping smoking puffing on a bit of plastic is just not the same. Will mornings every b the same again???? The last 10 yrs mornings av bn coffee n fag time. Any hints/help/advice 2 keep me off the evil wud b great.

try and avoid the routines where you normally had a fag......with me the cup of coffee in the morning was a killer.....so i started having a cup of hot water with lemon and lime with some honey.......maybe change the early morning routine to start with.......been off fags now for a long time so my morning coffee does not cos any probs now.....joined the gym and bought a treadmill also helped......so now i do some healthy exercise and my lungs are back at full capacity again........i found once i had stopped for 2 weeks that it all became much much easier....so keep it up...not only will it make you healthier but also save you a fortune!!!
I used the 24 hour patch for 2 full days....then started taking it off when i went to bed....after 5 days i felt ready for "cold turkey"....havent had an urge since......mind you i dont drink cos i think having a night out is the biggest pitfall for those wanting to quit.......the demon drink...hee hee

Thank you, i think i will av 2 give the coffee a miss 4 now, just the thought of no coffee or fag 2 greet the day is enough 2 keep u in bed hiding under the duvet. lol. |

just take it a day at a time.....from personal experience it does get easier.......i found i had to distract my mind from thinking about it....if need be go places where you know you cant smoke......drastic i know but if it works...then go for it. like go visit a friend who has children cos thats always a no smoking zone (or it should be!!!)
nicotine is such an evil drug...if its dangerous properties were to be discovered today it would be a class A drug!!!
