I actually think it's too obvious just to be that Paula is mentally unwell and Ellen is the one in the wrong with no-one believing her. I'll be disappointed if it's that straightforward.  |

Yes! Watched the second episode last night. I'm really enjoying it but struggled when she left her baby in the car alone 
I hope there's more to it than the 'obvious' - I'll be a tad disappointed otherwise. X |

Yup, been enjoying it too. Can't help feeling that there are too many lingering looks or long shots that are probably designed to mislead and misdirect us. Agreed, it really does look as though it is not her daughter. Something odd between Paula and her hubby. It is a good watch, but like others, I hope it is not as obvious as it appears to be. |

Agreed!"
Yeah I'm thinking she's the step daughter and Paula either lost a child or can't have her own. It's only three episodes so it'll all become clear next week. |

yep - don't know how the police nabbed her. The Police only went to the office to look at emails but this not her computer. When she was in the garage I have no idea how she got to the library before the Police or how she was arrested ...good build up but was a bit A-team with holes. |

She was very resourceful! Knows how to hotwire a car and then trigger an airbag. |

Vicky McClure is one of those actresses we can't watch for some reason, not sure why but find it difficult to like her acting. She was on that nightly show with Davina the other day too, both of those on the TV at the same time.. We just turned the TV off. Probably just us! |

How can anyone not watch Line of Duty though? Best British drama of recent years! 
But back on topic - yeah it was bubbling along nicely but the end all seemed a little rushed?
She had an overdose but seemed to fully recover from it perfectly naturally then became this incredibly resourceful woman to escape from the car.. |

! Not that women can't be resourceful of course (blimey that would be Fabicide saying that woudn't it!  ) but if you're coming around and regaining consciousness from an overdose you're not going to be up and sprightly straight away are you? You're probably going to be very groggy for a long time!

Caught up with it last night having avoided this thread all day...agree with everyone else that it was a very disappointing last episode to what up to that point had been a very good "who's really the mad one?" storyline - went downhill (no pun intended) from the falling down the stairs moment - then the escaping the car thing just topped it off. |

Yep it all became a bit cringeworthy and I found myself saying things like that's just stupid at the screen. It was a bit like a bungalow where you bung a low roof on a house because you ran out of bricks |
