Just got some weights and a bench here. Taking that slowly. We do a bit of cycling during the summer. Average around 15 miles when go out on the bikes. Mrs2 bakes some exceedingly good cakes. We also enjoy camping and photography.  |

Recurves are technologically superior but much easier to draw, am more of a traditionalist with a 75lber. Not sure which trumps which. |

I use an 85lb 56" warbow when I'm clouting. And a 70lb flatbow for field archery with 3d targets. I made my own arrows up from imported POC shafts. Turkey feathers from a local farm.

My first bow was 45lb which i still have, 40lb is a good weight, not at all whimpy. They are beautiful pieces of kit, ash backed bilaminate made by a local bowyer. A smooth loose with just the hint of a kick from the heavier bow and a fine cast for clout. Aim is not a problem though getting the arrows out of a straw boss is. |
