"Why did guy Martin not get the job.
He would of been amazing
Not sure why he didn't?
I think he's contracted to channel 4"
Ahh yes that would make sense then |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
"nope, still dire. It's a awkward and cheesy. Why they haven't tried something different is beyond me. They are just copying clarkson and co, it just ain't as good. Keep your Amazon subscription. "
I watched some Grand Tour over Christmas. It just wasn't very good. |

Going to watch it later after recording it.
Even though Evans wasn't great in the first try I still thought it was ok to just chill out on a Sunday while watching it, I love cars and it was still better than half the other rubbish on.
Looking forward to watching tonight's new series I just don't over analyse it |

Guy Martin states in one of his books he wasn't interested in all the bullshit that would come with it.
As for the other guys Chris Harris is a real motoring journalist and racer so knows his stuff. Will give it a watch |

Have watched a few of the GrandTour episodes in the last few weeks. Great programmes for what they are. An entertainment show that also contains cars and has 3 presenters with a chemistry that works very well.
They are still trying to replicate this with new Top Gear but I dont think it will work regardless of who they have presenting it..

I enjoyed the show tonight. I tried to watch with Evans last year but couldn't hack his mannerisms and shouty rehearsed crap.
Think the true talent is Chris Harris - he's witty, excellent driver, knows his stuff and isn't up his own arse.
I suppose it's how long the BBC pays Leblanc the contract money. |

"It's a decent show but for Le Blanc - he's just an awkward guy. "
Yes not sure why they came up with the idea of putting him in it ??
It doesn't need him he does nothing for the shows appeal. |

I enjoyed it to be honest. I think the problem is so many people were used to the format with clarkson and co. I used to watch TG USA and Australia too so was used to seeing the sets and formats with other presenters before TG uk changed theirs! I think tonight was entertaining and genuinely funny rehearsed obviously but still chuckle worthy! I like Matt and he's genuinely a car guy and quite an accomplished driver!
I'll keep watching as its not been decimated at all in my opinion, I'm just glad Evans bowed out gracefully. |

I'll watch this tonight, I watched the grand tour, and there was a lot of pointless areas in the program, celebrity brain crash being the main one, what the feck was the point of introducing "this weeks" celebrity knowing for well that something would happen to them before reaching the tent.
The outside stuff I liked but the tent just didn't work at all. |

I watched the first half hour. They presenters seem to want to be to much like the old crew. Needs to be revamped into a new show. New ideas and with a female presenter. |

Haven't watched it yet but i quite like matt le blanc so tortured myself with the last series. I have to say Chris evens has become one irritating guy.
I've watched most of the grand tour and think it is absolutely terrific |

The formula that took top gear from being the tediously boring show it started as was the chemistry between the presenters..
Three grown men cocking around like complete ejits, whilst taking the piss out of each other and some cars thrown in for good measure.
It wasn't a car show, it was an entertainment show..
Personally, I can't see it ever being the same, it'll either revert to the old boring nasal format of the past or just be a group of people trying to impersonate Clarkson, may and Hammond... |

I personally am not interested in the crazy exploits that they put into the programmes like driving the Kazakhstan in old fucked up cars or making cars into boats or trains etc.
I want to see cars inside and out.
I want to see cars that are in most peoples budget and also cars we would buy if we won the lottery.
I want to see cars going round tracks and knowing 0-60 times and top speed.
I like the competition aspect of stars in the reasonably priced cars on the track trying their best to get a good time.
I want unbiased info on cars and lots of cars/people competing against each other.
Not bothered about if a base jumper can get through london quicker than a Toyota iQ ?
Thats just boring to me.
More cars more facts more speed more track competions please
Thats what Id likev |

it would be interesting to see viewing figures for the old format top gear with tiff, quentin and jeremy. then compare them with the figures from the top gear with hammond, may and jeremy. just to see which was more popular as i think the entertainment is what the majority prefer. if you want serious info about cars go to a dealership and pick up a brochure |

Rather than more about the actual cars etc ? |

Surprised how much better it was last night, especially enjoyed the coaching of James McAvoy in the car.
Usual road trip nonsense but you can see a possibility of them creating a genuine blokeish banter for future trips.
Would like to see Motorcycles being included in some of their road trips, as Clarkson was against them, apart from the one trip to Vietnam they did. So actually feeling optimistic about the next episodes.Actually found Eddie Jordan just as annoying as Chris Evans but think they should've kept Sabine Schmitz on. |

Eddie and Sabine are still part of the presenting team.
Just not main presenters.

Thought that was ok not sure on the celebrity sitting there for so long. think even james macavoy wasn't sure why he was there so long. I like the reasonably powered car and looks like stigs been sacked, maybe grand tour will hire him as the yank is a pratt |

As much as I think Jeremy Clarkson is a big dopey walloper,he was more entertaining than any of the current hosts,he was Top Gear!
Even the hamster n captain slow made it more watchable than it is now. |
