I'm just wondering does anyone on here notice that at certain points Of the year their mood plummets and they feel lethargic or demotivated - or a bit sad and depressed.
I'm not on about S.A.D - just a general trend people might notice?
I always struggle to feel 'normal' October to December - but I attribute this to S.A.D I was diagnosed with.
However I've noticed since I was 17 that I always really feel low and 'flat' February through to April. I was thinking about it earlier today and I wonder if it's just conditioning as since I was 16 whenever something significant that was bad or negative happened to me it was always in those months. |

"I suffer from S.A.D add to that being a biker since year dot that can no longer ride in winter & an avid MotoGP fan and...well....
Winter is fucking shit!!!!

Haha, I get that. i love hiking and rock climbing - I'm not shy of bad weather, but there comes a point when this time of year the weather can still make the strenuous climbs and hikes I love impractical. Snow and ice, no prob, constant torrential rain and mud so heavy your boots get caked in it, no thank you.

"Wiggles suffers from similar, so she goes on a sun bed and recharges"
I've found that going to a sauna helps me, kind of makes me think I'm back in Norway or Spain for a few days and overrides whatever is bringing me down unless it is really bad.
Problem is I can't find a non-'adult' or gay community sauna near me in Leeds, I have to make an excuse to visit someone and use the one in the hotel I've chosen to stay in - or if I'm lucky I travel for work and there is one in the hotel. |
