Saw a load of them at the train station with their signs. It's good that we have the right to demonstrate in this country. Just hope the knobs don't ruin it |

I agree with it, but don't know that it's going to make a difference. Unfortunately the government is run by rich boys who don't have any idea what it's like to have to rely on a NHS that is being denied the basics. |

Unfortunately it won't make any difference. There's no money left in the kitty. People can demand an end to cuts all they want, but the country is broke, our national debt is 2nd to the US, and we spend more than we earn. Taxing a few rich people more would be a drop in the ocean. Claims were are the 5th largest economy don't mean jack shit if a government spends more than it earns in tax. |

Plenty of money in the kitty, even whilst they've been starving the NHS of funds in real terms. There are big cuts for inheritance tax starting in a couple of weeks for millionaires, or there may have been some selective attention paid to what the government has been doing the last few years.
Good on the demonstrators putting their time, money and efforts there. |

No there is no money left. We have a budget deficit, a fucking huge one. We have the 2nd largest debt of any country. So please tell me what you don't understand. |

We do indeed... but unlike the rest of the EU which some are very close to ours we can print our own money...don't under estimate that. Secondly the wastage is criminal that many of our managers are involved in. My local hospital built a new A&E... great was what everyone was saying it was too small... guess what... not a single extra bed! Yes more space ( EU regulations about square footage), All new equipment. ... don't get me wrong but did we need to pay for all new beds when the older ones were still very good and did the job. New Small TVs on ultra expensive hydraulic swing arm mechanisms for the patients....really? Bottom line...no additional hands on working staff that actually make the difference, no extra beds, 4 to 5hrs waiting time is not uncommon. ..It used to be about 2 hrs in the old A&E.
Much of the problem is with too many managers having to try to keep their positions. It's the same in many of our industries a bloat of organisers.
Consultants all being paid by NHS and using NHS equipment and rooms for all their private work. Causing longer waiting times and the administration implied ting planned delay tactics to help their failing system.
There is money there...its how it's being used.
(I have a few family member working in the system at different levels) |

Funny because when it comes to save bank from bankrucy or funding wars, they manage to find money easily... well at least in my country but I reckon it is the same in the uk. |

The younger age that people die in the USA, compared to here, is partly due to the health system there. If people want to retire at an older age but die at a younger age, then the USA health system is an option. As someone who lives part of the time in the USA, the UK service is far better. |

What abour thw numerous other systems thats perform better than the nhs or the american system like many eu countries have.
Such as voucher based systen
Personally i like the nhs system for the simplicity of use but it seriously needs taking to hand management wise |

I'd like to see the true stats of causes of death in the US. I'd say it's largely based upon diet and the colossal volume many consume. I was there for 8 weeks a few years ago and couldn't get over the portions and where people put it. Most were 3x what I could finish and safely say I was full. |

Yes, it's the same in all British public services, too many managers who seem incapable of even the most basic tasks. Education, policing, NHS- all horrendously mis-managed. |

"I wonder if it will make it on to mainstream news.
Wrll its been on the bbc all day"
That was a bit tongue in cheek as reporting of these sorts of things tends to be hit and miss. |
