Big fight night tonight! I hope to see a fight like Chisora V White (for those who watched) The trash talk has been relentless between these two but who's your money on tonight?
Haye Round 5 |

Bellew late - at least I hope so because I can't stand Haye.
Haye will come out fast, and go for the knockout, but if Bellew can weather the storm early, and drag the fight out to the later stages, I pick him to take Haye apart.
Bellew has been far more active, Haye hasn't had a proper fight for 5 years, and had a bad injury. He's also bulked up a lot of muscle, which takes way more oxygen to keep moving - Bellew looks out of shape but he isn't, he's always looked like that and can carry himself 12 rounds no problem.
Haye has only done 12 rounds 3 times in his entire career, and will definitely gas.
Bellew late or on points for me. |

I know this is illogical of me but I hope you are right.
I've never heard of Bellew but David Hay....... even I want to smack him. Is he as arrogant as he seems ?
I don't know boxing form but I know a twat - generally. |

I just think Haye will have the advantage early on with speed and the experience of 'Big Fight Nights'. Believe me nothing would satisfy my more than Haye being KO'd, he's overstepped the mark a few times during the conferences and Bellew has been more humble in that regard. I just hope the size of the occasion doesn't get the better of Bellew as I've grown to like him Great night for British Boxing nether the less |

I'm going to go with Bellew, he's definitely got the hunger for it and to be honest he seems to have done a great job of rattling Haye, think once he's in the ring as long as he can last the second round he'll get into Haye's head to the point he messes up, Bellew just needs to capitalise on that and not be complacent |

Bellew can't outbox haye over 12 unless haye is injured. As well as being bigger and stronger haye is just a better boxer full stop.
To make Haye gas you need to make him work by puting pressure on him and Bellew isn't big or strong enough to do that. If he tries to do that like chisora did for example, he's getting flattened and quick. Haye will dictate the pace in there.
Another reason Bellew won't win is because he doesn't genuinely believe he can. If he really thought he was a top heavyweight he would have moved up to heavyweight before now. The fact is there was a huge money fight (probably worth more than another 5 fights at cruiser) on the table against haye and he took it. If haye wasn't available he would still be at cruiser and when he loses he will go back to cruiser.
Terrible match up. Haye in the 3rd.

Rubbish. Haye was never going to win if it went to the later rounds. Haye was meant to knock him out by the 5th. He didnt. |

This
Ankle injury ended Haye's night!
And possibly his career too. Not sure he can come back from this.
Anyone know how he injured his ankle? Couldn't hear a damn thing in the pub! |

Quite sad to watch towards the end, it wasn't a fight after his ankle went.
Haye didn't look too sharp up until that point but you knew he was going to connect sooner rather than later.
They may as well have sucked each other off during the interviews |

Haye would have run out of steam in the latter rounds anyway. I liked Haye, but hes a joke now. After bottling it against Klitschko I lost all respect for him... can you imagine Ali or Frasier blaming losing because their toe hurt? He then fights a few bums. Dodges fights against Fury. Now knocked out.
He only took this fight to make himself look good. Now he has no where to go. No title fights on the horizon. Top quality heavyweights like Wilder or Joshua would batter him.
If theres a HayeBellew rematch, let it be a light heavy and watch him get pummelled again, especially without the weight advantage.
BTW. I'm no fan of Bellew, but his stategy was perfect. Respect to him!

"Because Haye was injured"? Why does he keep getting injured in big fights. Maybe he's body is telling him something (time to hang them gloves). I'm not a Bellew fan. But i'm disappointed with the way Haye approached the fight and that was why he got injured in the 5th/6th. Couldn't be bothered with him anymore. |

Bellew was right when he called Haye a "broken man". He's had major shoulder surgery, now his ankle has gone, oh and don't forget the broken toe, lol. |

Some of things I've seen him post in other threads confirm this. Very immature. |

Bellew was fighting with a broken right from the 2nd or 3rd round. |

"Bring back Lennox Lewis please and restore us to the top of world boxing, can't call ether of these two professional sports men. It was all just a big circus show xxx"
Lewis was so over rated. He was champ when the division was going down the pan. His fights against Tyson and Holyfield were when they were past their primes.
The Heavyweight division has been dead since the 80s |

You're right about Lewis but I think AJ is the man to beat at the moment, doing a great job for British heavyweights...a different league to that twat Tyson Fury. |

Not buying into that, he trained and hit hard. Can't remember him mouthing off like these two, how can you be over rated if you can only be rated against the people that stand beside you

"steeling something which isn't his
Isn't that the definition of stealing? "
I think the word "taken" instead of stealing should be used to define "stealing" in that sentence, but I'm no expert on these matters, we need some one from the Grammer Police to check it. |

Heavyweight boxing weren't great in the 80's. It lost a lot of its lustre once Ali retired and had its thunder stolen by the welters & middleweights of that era (leonard/hagler/Duran/hearns era) Larry Holmes was genuinely great but too young to get prime Ali and too old by the time Tyson came along. The 90's were much better. Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield are ATG. loads of entertaining fighters too like tommy morrison, razor rudduck, golota, Briggs....
The division went into decline when the kiltchkos came along and it hasn't recovered. Glad Lewis put one of them in their place before he went, great fighter. |
