It's interesting when people choose 'Athletic' as their body shape on here, given that there are so many events to choose from....
100m and all the other sprint events, longer distances like the 5000m or 10000m, then you have all the field events such as Javelin, Discus, or Shot Put.
Even Pole Vault. |

If someone takes part in the activities you have listed then they are not misusing the type athletic. |

Different muscles are emphasised in athletic depending on their preferences. ..so you need to read the whole profile to get that right athletic picture. .. |

You can describe yourself as athletic and not be an athlete. It's a description of your body type not what you get up to in your spare time. I've put athletic down but the only running i do is to the fridge, i'm quite happy to let others decides whether it's fitting or not. |

"I don't remember seeing 'rugby' as one of the options"
No but most would subjectively class rugby players as athletic and yet people like you may question if the athletic label covers too wide a spectrum.
I personally think Fab should get rid of the labels and let users rely on pictures.

Just use what you want as long as it's not an outright lie I guess. I wouldn't describe myself as chubby because I lift heavy things 5 times a week, or athletic because I like Greggs. So average suits me |

Average these days in the UK isn't that far off from very overweight.
I like the descriptions here, as vague as they may seem to some. I always think that if a user is running in shorts and bra, where desired, what would be the typical description that 100 onlookers (all very fit, regular exercisers), would give for that person, whilst they're doing some exercise in front of them. |

In general people are quite kind with their descriptions of themselves on sites like these.
Trust... I've had some surprises when I've met up for socials! and even with pics... because those pics weren't so recent. And a lil change, ok cool enough, but some...so much so...that I had to politely decline. |
