David Nott, a quiet, unassuming and dignified man. An NHS consultant surgeon who has given a few months of his time each year for the past 23 years visiting some of the most dangerous war zones on the planet to save the lives of innocent victims.
In the news yesterday visiting a Syrian baby girl who's life he saved after a bombing raid that killed the rest of her family.
I am humbled by his compassion and courage. |

"A salute to him, for his bravery, vision and compassion in fulfilling his oath to his profession "
And fulfilled way beyond all reasonable expectation. |

Wasn't this gent featured on either last years Pride of Britain Awards or the year before?
I think he also got knighted in the Honours List.
A truly amazing man who ventures onto dangerous areas to help wounded people of any race, faith or warring faction.
There aren't enough words to fully describe him? |

I wasn't aware of that. His work only came to my attention on the news yesterday. |

"People like this are not in the news enough. A real inspirational man that shows the very best of humanity."
Too much of the news centres on the worst of humanity, it gives people a distorted view. No wonder there is an increase in instances of depression. |
