Iceland, but Aldi is closer.. |
On a similar site to this (AH), a minor disagreement took place in the chat room between a long term male user who is married and a fairly new female user...
It was the normal storm in a teacup that came and went and everyone moved on...
Following the disagreement, she started befriending his AH friends, pretended to be interested in him, eventually got enough information from his friends to be able to find him on his private social media.
She then took a screen shot of his AH profile and posted on his Facebook page for his wife, family and friends all to see.
Is it just me, or is that completely despicable? |

That's not on at all... there's an unwritten rule that you don't discuss sites like these outside of here and don't rat people out.... I'd be annoyed if it happened to me |

"his friends are just as bad, sharing personal info like that."
he was a longterm user, been on it for years.
she by all accounts had been a member for a few weeks and was very chatty and pleasant, and was well liked.
The disagreement was long forgotten and nobody had any reason to think she was up to anything underhand.. |

Perhaps 'she' was a regular long term user that set up a new account to bait him. |

He's been cheating on his wife for years?? How on earth has she not twigged before now I don't know.
However yeah she definitely was seriously out of line exposing him like that. Her and hubby are both the C word. He clearly wasn't discrete enough. Now his wife will feel publicly humiliated as well as hurt. It's her I actually feel for. |

"Was she already a Facebook friend of his?
No, his facebook was his private life and completely separate.
"
I only ask because I didn't know you could post on someone's Facebook page if you're not friends.
That's frightening.... |

They can if you haven't adequately sorted the privacy settings. Everything should be set as just you or friends. |

I'd keep information on a need to know basis, so that there's next to nothing to pass on. Though I think neighbours and people I know etc would be disappointed that my life's not outrageous enough.
As for anyone doing this, it's sickening |

I know the guy well from my time on the site, I am not going to make excuses for him but his personal situation wasn't black and white....
its not just his wife that will suffer but his kids and parents who all would have seen the post. How many of their friends would see the post too... |

Sorry if I appear harsh but the black and white of it is, if he wasn't even on that site in the first place, then there wouldn't of been anything to expose him for. I'm afraid I just don't feel sorry for him. If he felt the need to cheat for years, then it sounds like his marriage needs counselling. Or maybe he just can't help himself. Who knows.
Still without a doubt that other woman was wrong to publicly humiliate him. |

It's actually his poor wife I feel sorry for , heart breaking and humiliating for her , my heart goes out to her.
Terrible behaviour from him and the "lady" who outed him.
He knew the risks he was taking cheating on his wife , these things always come out in the end usually through the cheaters own arrogance and stupidity. No sympathy for him what's so ever. I hope his wife was brave enough to kick his ass to the kerb .Me I'd walk away and never look back. |

it's a shitty thing to do, but it's a risk he ran i guess. nature of putting stuff on line is that it's accessible and there are some people out there who will exploit that.
if you don't want folk to know, don't put it out there.
