I get a small enough number 0-1 that I can have a nose and see if it is someone I want to contact.
Certainly wouldn't be doing that if I had 100+ per day |

I don't really get the point of them. I think Pete looks at them but I don't take much notice. If someone's really interested they'll just send us a message

I just don't know where you find the time to manage that many |

There and to the left a bit |
I think in the four months or so that I've had this profile I've had less than 10 winks in all and with one exception (whose profile made it clear that if they winked it meant they were open to being messaged if the recipient of the wink (i.e. me) was interested) I've not responded to any. |

I've had two but they were from women 150 miles away so pretty pointless. However local winks from local people are gratefully received in the spirit in which they were intended. |

Winks may be more useful for couples. It's particularly useful if you get one from another couple (if you can spot them in amongst the scores from single men).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the short time we've been on here, there appears to be several ways to show an escalating level of interest. Fabbing pics seems to act like a soft wink, showing you like the look of them. Then, a wink shows you're more interested, because maybe you've read the profile and now like the sound of them. Obviously a friend request is stronger and would most effectively come after messaging and getting to know them, though some people refuse friend requests till after physically meeting. |

I actually rather like them.
It could simply be a show of appreciation or that people are shy and unsure of making first contact.
At the end of the day they are harmless and you only have to view them should you choose to.
Wink away and screw what people think. If they're that indifferent to them they'll just be ignored.
Take a chance, you never know where it may lead.
Peace out

I don't see the point of all the foreplay. If you see someone you fancy, send them a message, explain what you're looking for, attach a photo and see what happens. If they reply, great. If they just delete it, stalk the shit out of them!! |

We hardly get any winks but then we have filtered our message settings on our profile to such an extent that unless you're a 29 year old professional ballerina, who was born in the last quarter of the year, has blonde hair, green eyes, a degree in English, can bake, volunteers for the Red Cross, is an organ doner, can play the piano and hates tomatoes .... you wink isn't getting through ! |

Well the op had a similar post up the other day saying she had 600 so I'm guessing it's an accumulation |
