This is a question of your 'type' when your on here.
If you could search for members with options to filter height/build would you use it?
Or do you find people attractive for different qualities?
Me.
I imagine finding the perfect woman. And then trying to find someone similar, and then again trying to find the same 'type' of woman. Wouldn't that be quite shallow of me because I'm only with you because your 'like' the other two.
It's nothing about you, it's because your like them. 
I also overthink things, that I'm attracted to lots of different type of women because I want to tick lots of things off a list.  . I hope it's not that, that feels just as worse as the other way.
I can't help who I'm attracted to, I find you fit for lots of reasons I can't explain. And I'm happy with that. But I know it's not because your on my shopping list.

Nah, my meets have all been really different, but they've had the same thing in common with their personality. If I do come across someone who's completely my type but we don't completely hit it off, we don't meet. |

That's an interesting filter to apply 
But back to the question ....
Surely everyone has a "type" that they initially find attractive, and more filters would be useful to narrow it down a bit 
They I wouldn't go the whole 29 measures of compatibility route  |

I find certain restaurants cook certain foods perfectly, so will often order the same meal. but then I go to different restaurants as I like a bit of variety in my diet.  |

Definitely always been attracted to someone who makes me laugh.
I do have a physical look type, especially when it's celeb based. Mine is tall, dark and a bad boy but if I met them in real life, this attraction could disappear if they didn't have a fun personality or came across as unintelligent.
That's just me though, I guess everyone likes different things about people.

Yes. I agree, I've found people amazingly attractive. Aaand they won't meet me. |

If there was such a filter it would save a lot time looking. However there maybe also someone who say has one thing missing from your check list who you like who you would miss out on because of the filter.

I don't have a physical type. Nor do I have set ages.
The one thing I do worry a bit about and is an instant turn off is if I find out I am being messaged because of the shopping list referenced earlier - that doesn't really do it for me to put it mildly. |

Does it matter if it's shallow? We're on an internet hook up site, some are looking for long term relationships but many aren't.
Shallow would be insisting all applicants equally qualified for a job looked a certain way. |

would cost the site more to add in all those extra filters - as it is i can read so i look and find out particulars for myself - i quite like to look and often find people i wouldnt go for if i had set filters - in fact when we go to clubs when looking at the profiles of some when going to verify we would have passed it by |

I wouldn't use filters. I find since I joined my ideas of what I want have changed a bit, im being tempted by people I maybe wouldn't have looked at elsewhere because their personality can shine a bit here since its not face to face they can be a bit more confident.
I get told sometimes guys wont approach me because they think theyre not in my league, I find it a bit offensive since im all about the spark and ive found that in all body shapes and sizes and hair colours and heights! |

I like that. that's attractive.  .
Short story. I approached a girl when I was younger. She was stunning and taller than I. After I introduced myself I got a "look at you, your like a primary school child' (something like that).
That were the only words she spoke to me.
And I reckon I could find that attitude in here. I might be wrong, but experience says I'm not.
