I have tried doing this and I very rarely find an older guy sexually attractive. It may be shallow but I have to have a physical attraction to someone probably that is more important to me than a mental attraction |

I have age preferences set to 14 years older and younger than me. I have found in the past that, on the whole (although there will always be exceptions of course), I won't have too much in common with anyone younger / older - it's a generational thing - so the conversion / frames of reference / common experiences we have tend to be better the closer in age we are and hence the better the meet.
I haven't blocked anyone at all with message filters though and accept that there will always be exceptions to the rule! |

It is a shame that there is that cutoff whereby on your birthday you become less attractive to somebody than you were yesterday...
It's a very black and white approach which may push some to be less than honest about their age on their profile..
I know come September I will fall off of lots of people's radar when I become 46 as human nature dictates most people will use numbers ending 0 or 5.
I set my filters my preferred age range by 10 years, is it not better to find out that someone is not your type through chatting with the chance they may be suitable. |

Forums and chat rooms are good for that, if you catch the eye of someone who is outside their age preference then they may just message you. |

Problem for me is was that my mum was a bit of a cradle snatcher and my dear old ( but very young ) Dad is only 53. I can't imagine seeing someone, in anyway shape or form, older than my Papa.
My filters are to 50 but to be honest that's pushing it. 46/47. But then so many are lying about there age!  |

I think he's just expressing an opinion, one that is shared by some others who are of a certain age.
The trouble with getting older is you don't necessarily feel any different than you did 10/15 years ago.
It's about getting your head around that you fall into a different age demographic to the majority. |

It might be nice for those of us who fall into the older age group but swinging isn't about personality in the main. For many it's about fantasy fulfilment and that's necessarily fairly shallow.
We like to get along on a personal level with the people we meet but have both upper and lower age limits which we don't meet outside of. |

Not really as I like to chat to people a similar age to me as we will more likely have stuff in common being brought up in the same era, talking to someone 30yrs older a lot would go over their heads and vice versa |

Being a younger guy im guessing its expected but i have slept with a lady around 50 so not quite my dads age (60) but if someone came along at that age and looked after herself then i wouldn't exclude her! I have seen many women on here around 60 that look in great shape. So reguardless of the age if they can hold down a decent conversation and take care of themself then im happy to talk possibly more! |

That's why I'm usually quite strict with my age limits, it would take a hell of a mind to overcome the age thing for me. I'm sure it could happen though  |

I've noticed people can make an issue out of someones age limits. Mine are open because I judge my attraction on the person and not the age, saying your attracted to a 30 year old but not a 31 year old is crazy in my eyes. But each to their own, suppose some people just like to draw a line in the sand |

I used to be very dismissive of older guys until Saturday night when I was challenged by two guys in their late 60's to push the boundaries and see that they had as much stamina as any other guy.
My God I was not disappointed. My first orgasm was in the taxi on the way to their home. I got back to my house at 6 am the following morning fully satisfied and wondering what I've missed for years now!   |
