Seriously though, for me it's for safety reasons!

As a single woman that's here to meet guys alone for security within their house etc, I need to feel safe. In doing so I politely ask for a face pic before meeting in person, which I can keep. If I do end up meeting him I use his pic as a safety net. My best friend has a copy and his address. If she doesn't hear back from me the morning or whenever, she knows where to send the police! Maybe an over reaction to some. However, I've been threatened by a guy with him saying he's going to stalk me, rape me and throw acid in my face. All because I turned him down and he wouldn't stop messaging and accept I wasn't interested.

As a single female, I have no male partner to hide behind so I take all precautions for my safety. Keeping my face pic hidden until I see him, is my way of doing that. Plus, if there's no attraction then they'll be no meet, so what's the point in me sending him my face pic? Just pointless and saves a potential aggressive guy from knowing my identity. Not every guy on this site is lovely and kind. Thankfully a lot are and they are the ones why I'm still on this site.

Whoever sends the first message should send a pic. I refuse to until this point. If you don't want to send one that's completely fine.. but the conversation ends there.

I don't see the big deal- I don't have the time to waste so will ask and enclose mine, never not got one back.

If they refuse and it doesn't suit you- use it as a filter. You probably weren't that compatible anyway!

I anyone can ask for anything they want, and run their profile how they see fit, if you don't like it don't message them, it's simple really

We ask for face pictures in a first message because we don't want to spend an hour chatting and then them not be for us, if that's not to people's liking then move on to the next profile

I ask to see if there is a physical attraction for me. If I am attracted to the person then I will send one in return.

Due to my circumstances, I need to see other people's face pictures first, to rule out whether I may know them in my private life.

It has cost me a few meets. I can't differentiate between picture collectors and those interested in meeting. All in all, I would rather keep my job... Thanks

It really isn't a solely female thing. I get messages constantly from chaps asking to see my face, usually as the opening gambit and I'm quite clearly not what they're looking for. I suppose people are always going to follow the path they wish to forge. Doesn't phase me one jot, it's up to them.
