I feel like a proper grown up. Just booked a holiday for me and my two boys. Ok, it's not to a far flung exotic location or a posh hotel, but it's going to be fun, well as fun it can be with two 7 year olds in a tent!! |

"I'll be booking mine soon for just me and the kids "
My friend used the company I've booked with, aimed specifically for single parents. She said it was brilliant! I'm very excited!! |

I don't feel grown up most of the time... and it still surprises me sometimes especially at work when someone listens to me. and I still giggle at silly poo jokes. I have given up waiting to grow up and be all adult like and just enjoy life I think |

"I hope you post a question about what to pack nearer the time! I liked camping as a kid, although it did make me appreciate my own bed! "
Well the company provide l the camping gear/cooking stuff so just clothes and bedding to take. |

My children and I never had a holiday but I'm slightly richer now and I take the grandchildren camping occasionally. We love it!
I have the chance to take them to Spain this year to stay with friends but their little faces when I told them means we are camping upon the Gower again.
Let them go feral, take food that they can just grab (and loads of it) and worry about being clean when you get home.
I take a festival pole and flag, so they know where the tent/yurt is and they all have a rescue whistle and know when to use it. |

"When my kids were younger we went camping loads, it's all we could afford tbh but we had a great time. One of them even said they missed going recently "
Although my two are addicted to electronic devices, they love the great outdoors, so think it's going to be prefect! |

Camping is brilliant with kids, you don't have to worry if they spill anything and you can eat off paper plates to save on washing up I have taken my boys camping till they were in their late teens and early twenties, they would still go now if they hadn't moved on in their own lives |
