Flicking through the channels last night came across a listing for the war movie “The Big One”. Alexis confessed that when she was a teenager her and her mates hired it from a video store thinking it was a porn film. I really wish I could have seen their faces when they discovered their error.
That tickled me and I walked around laughing for the rest of the night.
My question has anyone one else done or chosen something thinking it was something completely different.

I bought the full length version of Caligula not quite realising just how full on it was. I was expecting a risque ben-hur type thing but sat open mouthed throughout most of it. As much as i like porn it just wasn't what I was expecting.

I did pretty much the opposite as a kiddie. In the days of VHS I rented what I thought was a horror film from the local village shop (they were always very lax on the age thing ) but it turned out to be essentially soft porn.
It was a film called 'The Beast' (La Bête). Almost as good as finding a nudie mag discarded in the bushes as a pubescent teen  |

Totally agree certainly one that I watch in my teenage years and not just for it artistic merit shall we say. |

We saw a trailer on TV for Thor, looked brill. When shopping, we saw a 'Thor' DVD so we bought it. Turned out not to be the version on the trailer, it was a budget movie, running about a wood and no special effects. Kept skipping the dvd hoping it was going to get better, 5 minutes later, we got to the end and honestly, we chucked it in the bin. |
