I'm looking to get my first full body wax before the Summer.
Any advice about what to have done or what to avoid?
Also, can anyone recommend where to go for an intimate wax in the Northwest (Manchester / Cheshire)

Remember to take some paracetamol before it! |

I'd recommend doing your intimate bits with removal cream and just getting your legs/chest/back waxed as all that in one session is a lot as it is!
Specially first time round as it isn't pleasant!
Get easier as you do it more though- not too bad for me now. |

I wax myself and use hot wax that needs no strips.
Wax pot and stripless wax can be bought on eBay.
Trim the hair so it's not too long.
Talc the area so you are super dry.
Use baby oil to remove any residue wax if you need to.
There are some good tutorials on YouTube |

"I've used the cream before on my legs but never round my genitals, bum etc.. I didn't think it was safe to use creams here."
Genitals are easy to shave and bum is fine with cream just don't get it on your actual asshole lol. |

first note any skin tags or splits of skin , these should be made aware to your waxer as they should be left alone.
second,if you are a diabetic, phone your nurse or advisor and ask their opinion if you will be ok.
3. be aware its ripping hairs, and will hurt, especially first time.
the worse I found was across the shoulder blades, and top of chest region. but worse of all nostrils.....that feels like your brain is being ripped out through your nose.
4 have a cool shower (NOT HOT) before you go for hygiene
be aware you may get reddening.
TELL the waxer if you feel the wax is to hot for you (their wax holder may be faulty
the waxer is just doing a job, and just chat freely, but never of a sexual nature
if you feel an erection coming on ask to stop for a while. if you continue they may abandon waxing and ask you to go.
there are various types of hair your DNA tells your body where that type will grow.
cut long hairs but leave at least a 1/4 of an inch so the wax can grab
you have not lived until you have had a back sac and crack done,
there are 2 types of wax, if you get a pro to do it properly......
yes take paracetamol
the standard wax with strips
and a quality wax that the waxer makes a type of loose handle with
I paid approx. £90 - £120 for full wax
if someone says 30- 50 don't
buy Vaseline aloe vera for after care
I use 2 types
the continuous spray can its a green coloured can approx. £3 - £5 I use on main body arms and legs
I also use the thicker white cream again its in the same green colour but in a flatter holder for the rougher parts of body like knees elbows and feet. price £1 -£3 depending on where you get them
DONT leave it to the last thing to have done in case you get reddening
you will feel colder in your body with out the hair
it feels amazing and you will find you will get a strange thing about stroking the areas .it feel smooth and that's not what you are used too
it will need to be redone approx. 10 - 14 weeks .........if you have done ,DONT shave at anytime between waxes.........it leaves a sharpe edge on the hair
I am sure I have forgotten something but at least you have more information now
lastly try to think of good things and why you are having it done while its happening
ohhhhhhhhh time wise.
i am fair haired so more difficult to see .day light or daylight bulbs help to see hairs
if you are darker haired at least the waxer isn't having to look closely at the lay of the hair as it needs to be pulled against the lay
1 - 2 hours depending on how you go
i wish you well and errrrrr keep smiling

Well thanks for the replies.
Thinking twice about it now.
I might opt for a combination of cream and razor first and see how that goes.
My OH has offered to do the waxing but from the explanations above it seems you really need to know what you're doing to avoid pain and post waxing problems.
I didn't realise it was all so technical.
My only concern with the creams is how to avoid getting it into those sensitive places. I suppose I could tape a pad over my bum and stick my cock and balls in a sock |
