When you're rushing to get a couple of little people washed, dressed, fed, teeth brushed, hair brushed, bags packed and to school, by 9am the house always looks like a bad storm has been through.... or we've been burgled! |

Good morning. It's blowing a gale and rain is lashing down. I'm going to look like a drowned rat today for some special people. Typical.
And snow is forecast later...will I get home ? |

Pleased that's not just my house. My little boy is a tornado all to himself. Causes destruction and chaos wherever he goes. |

"It would be fair to say I am looking slightly dishevelled on my way to the office. "
I've arrived at the office looking somewhat tousled. I did however remember to not apply my lip gloss until I got to work so at least that is not all in my hair and smeared all over my face |

Well remembered to put my hair up for the school run. As we walked around the church the wind whipped round and nearly knocked all three of us off our feet. The children thought it was very funny! |

Recycle day today, so thanks to Doris we have a village that looks like the average inner city canal
Just been out for 10mins collecting runaway sacks from the road & putting them somewhere out of the wind,
Still a bit of a mess out there though

Just up the a55 from you in Chester and it's horrific. Moving the car around a car park avoiding felled trees and roof tiles. |

I was out walking and felt like I was about to be swept up like in the Wizard of Oz. It was quite exciting in a freaky way. Currently my swing chair is upside down... and my fence has blown down. |

"Wet and very windy around Birmingham too! Hopefully it won't make my commute any longer!
Lots of trains been taken off ..." Yes its rare if I ever have to catch a train but I had to just before christmas and in january to birmingham/solihull they only checked my tickets once on both occasions and I could`nt find the right seats on one occasion being very much at home a bus traveller, the rush to get on the trains from the platform was bewildering and haveing to stand up on the final trip back home for over a hour which is mostly standard practice it seems on rush hour time this was all with normal weather and no strike action so it reinforced my thoughts on how lucky I was where travel was concerned. |

"An 80ft tree has gone over in our local park. " I Remember when I worked on the parks dept in 1976 and it was in february and I remember one day after high winds through the night two big trees comeing down in the arboretum opened in 1840 (The first public park in england) had a nice bandstand from around 1900 or before and the main entrance was called the Arcade, one of the trees that came down was a london plane and when it lay on the ground the trunk came up in thickness around 3` to 4` up just missing the old Arcade probabily set around 1840 along with the other tree which was a elm tree from this tree I was lucky enough to get a piece cut out Which thou only amateuristly made into A table top I was and am still pleased with the finished article very heavy to lift and if cared for would last probabily for ever.
