Kids films.....
Jump to: Newest in thread
I'm slowly but surely getting through all the films I loved when I was younger with my little one. Hes nearly 6.
There's a huge list of what we've watched so far (with labyrinth being his favourite and the inspiration for my sleeve tattoo that's getting started in 3 weeks)
Any suggestions of any in case I've missed them..... |

Nanny McPhee is another fave of theirs"

We watched the live action Jungle Book with our monsters (4 and 6) and they freaked out good and proper. Ditto with the new BFG movie.
They have enjoyed all the Studio Ghibli we've watched with them (Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Secret World), Kubo and the Two Strings, (ParaNorman gave them the jibblies), Jimmy Neutron (from the late 90s, CGI is terrible but the story is pretty nifty).
They've been watching Home over and over recently. About an alien invasion and stars the voice of Sheldon Cooper. |

"D,A,R,R,Y,L
Flight of the Navigator
Batteries not included
Mac & Me
Wow? Those take me back too!
How about short circuit? "
Haha, we watched all of those over Christmas. The monsters weren't impressed at all. I think they're too slow-paced for youngsters these days. |

Howls is our girls favorite film even over all the Disney classics & Barbie tripe they have. Spirited is second favorite.

He's not bothered by much. We've been to see the last 2 Star wars, miss peregrine, BFG, fantastic beasts and more.
The only thing I've ever seen make him jump was in the return to Oz when all the heads in glass jars wake up and start shouting!
I want to watch legend but Tim.curry as thar big red devil gave me the heebie jeebies |

"Pete's Dragon (the original)
Yes!!! Have you seen the new one?? Wtf is that all about?!
I've not seen it. I'd only watch it if it had the same songs in "
It's completely different. No songs. No crazy hillbilly family. Not even a similar storyline aside from a boy called Pete and a dragon called elliot

the explorers
garbagepale kids
howard the duck
the monster squad
some of my latter suggestions are really just films I was allowed to watch lol...
imdb is a great way to check out movies, the age rating and even separates the categories that might be unsuitable for younger kids |
