Central

Every bar id probably a bit different to the next - difference in clientele, ambience etc. They'll mostly welcome anyone, subject to attitude or d*unkenness. Some of this is the same as any other bar for anyone.

They aren't knocking shops, with sex on display etc. May have acts on, including drag, stripper etc - but mostly won't.

For gay bar tourists I think it always a good idea to research which bars are holding a special promotion evening or a themed event night.......

Bar or village? There's a bar in Derby called The Crown Inn, not been maself for many years, but apparently they now have glory holes. There are a couple of other bars in the vicinity which I have never been to.

If I want any man on man action I just knock on ma neighbour's door, or fuck off to the sauna

You could try Manchester although Canal St now is mainly a procession of hen do's.

It's lost its way somehow.

The gay population seem to drink all over the city these days rather than pigeon holing themselves to a selection of what are now essentially 'novelty' bars.

That's a good thing though imho

I'd hate to see LGBT only feeling safe to socialise and be themselves in a ghetto environment.

That said, if you are intetested, there is a weekend event called Sparkle once a year that essentially acts as a kind of Pride event for TV/TS

That's always a hoot and a great weekend x
