For all the fans out there, what is your favourite movies about time travel or has time travel in it?

For me, my favourites are The Time Machine (1960) and Warlock (1989)

The Time Machine has always been my favourite since I was a kid and I always enjoy every moment of it especially the time travel segments and special effects that won this movie an Oscar.

Warlock is also my favourite as I see it as kind of like The Terminator but with witchcraft. For those who haven't seen this movie, it's about a 17th century warlock who gets sent 300 years into the present day to find 3 pieces of the Devil's bible. Luckily the witch hunter who captured him before ends up in the present day as well so it is up to him and a girl named Kassandra to stop the Warlock before he destroys all of creation.

I always enjoy this movie as it's one of those movies I find entertaining. There is another Warlock movie but I wouldn't say it's a sequel as it bares no connections to the original film despite having Julian Sands return to play the lead role. I see it as kind of like Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance really as that movie bares no connections to the first movie either.

Anyway those are my favourite time travel movies. What's yours?

Army of Darkness! They embraced everything that made Evil Dead 2 great and turned it all the way up to 11.

Back to the future, terminator.

Those are the best of what I can think of right now.

I'm sure I'm missing one or two classics though

I quite liked the Time Travellers Wife - though the book rather than the film! As usual the book was great - the film was just passable! X

12 Monkeys. Love that film.

Notable mentions for Looper, Butterfly Effect, Déjà Vu and BTTF obviously.

12 monkeys.

It's got that usual Gilliam grip to its direction, the script is very good and the three main actors are excellent, maybe Brad Pitts best performance

I quite enjoyed the film with the guy trapped on the train with a bomber which continually looped back to the beginning.

I can't think what it was called though.

Also deja vu with denzel Washington was very enjoyable

There and to the left a bit

First two Terminator's were brilliant but should have stopped there. Really enjoyed Source Code.

Edge Of Tomorrow I really liked too..quite clever.

Also always loved the TV series Quantum Leap

About Time is a brilliant British time travel film...it's well written, funny and full of pathos too...for books, a new one out is bloody good too; it's called Extracted by R R Haywood

If we're including books then Connie Willis has an excellent series about time-travelling historians. "To Say Nothing of the Dog" is delightful and "Doomsday Book" had tears running down my face and then laughing out loud. Shame I was reading it on a train, must've looked like a crazy person.
