There's probably cheaper ways to join a gym I'd imagine. Aren't golf clubs expensive?

It's a choice between golf and country or David Lloyd's....both stupid expensive...but Lloyd's doesn't have squash courts...although I don't play much...just wondered about the place really...other places aren't in walking distance education and the lazy bone in me needs to exercise more...

Exeter

Depending in what you do for a living, I wont ask here, there are a few other options. The University has a first rate gym, and although you can join as an individual its worth finding out if you qualify for the corporate membership. If you are connected to the MoD or Met office then you can use the gym at Wyvern Barracks for free.

I'd also check out the Exeter Sports Academy down on Marsh Barton, they offer a concession to NHS, Students, Military & Emergency Personnel, but they are reasonable priced without it.

There are a few others as well, but I can't recall them.
