"What is an oatcake ? "
A savoury version of a pancake, a delicacy enjoyed by Staffordshire folk since the dawn of time. And now the thread has been started, I'll have to pop to the shops to get some on the way home. |

"Best filling for a oatcake ? Cheeses, bacon etc thought I'd post something that wasn't filth or to do with sex lol
I thought oatcakes were like crackers? How can you put a filling in them? "
Staffordshire oatcakes are like pancakes but made with oatmeal not flour. |

Some Sainsbury's do them in packs of six.
We usually keep a couple of packs in the freezer. She likes them a bit floppy with cheeeeze and toemaytoe and I like to toast them crispy with double gloucester (why is it double?) and pancetta. |
