You gotta get with my friends.....
Possibly the most disturbing thing I have heard young girls singing. Of course, I was too young to understand the connotations of this bed hopping lyric, but now I wonder how they got away with it.
The question is this -
The Spice Girls were a representation of 'yoof' at that time, Ginger Spice being the rebellious one, Sporty Spice being the chav, Posh Spice being the miserable one, Baby Spice being the (allegedly) innocent one, and Scary Spice being an encapsulation of the 'scary brown girl' and all that entails.
What would your Spice Girl name be, and why??
I would clearly be Beardy Spice, because I have a glorious ginger beard..... not because I married a gay bloke. |

A couple of my friends and I did a survey at the bus stop of lads from the boys' school (circa 1996) about who their favourite Spice Girl was. And I put the results in a spreadsheet. So at least I live up to the name.
