Access to porn easier than ever and has defiantly distorted men's expectations of sex life. It's a fact weather we admit it or not guys.

Took me along time to realise it ain't all like real life lol

Some men may have unrealistic expectations of sex but has that not always been the case?

Porn has probably made some men better lovers.

I think it's a small minority that may be negatively effected, based on nothing more than my opinion and chatting to my mates.

I don't think it's just men affected - I've met women who think that acting like a porn star makes them good in bed. Sometimes what looks good on camera and what feels good in real life is two different things.

I never knew sex could be as good you see in porn. That was until I met the woman in my life, and believe me, it is so much better. Got myself one fucking horny bitch. That's one of the reasons why I'm going to marry her. Hehe.

Thanks. You're not the first person to say that though. May have been something to do with the PVC nuns outfit she wore to a fancy dress party that had something to do with it, or the d*unken snog she had with a girl at the vanilla party?

Are you stating this as a fact? - if so please provide the empirical supporting evidence.

Or are you saying you fell porn has effected your sex life and expectations? If so maybe you need to seek out some PSYCHOSEXUAL counselling it may help you.

Porn is porn its acting - but then again some people believe Soaps are real. Ewan McGregor was body searched by a US customs official who had seen TrainSpotting, and thought he was a drug smuggler.-Some people cannot separate real life from stories portrayed in a visual form.

I think that porn affected me, but not in the sense that I expect more from my partner. It's more that I put unreasonable standards upon myself. It's had a negative impact on my sex life because I struggle to relax, constantly measuring my own performance. Maybe it's not porn alone, but almost certainly a factor.

Our fucking is way better than porn, whilst porn definitely has its uses, there's so much fakery and bullshit, doing real life things with someone who is actually enjoying it is always a huge improvement...and since I got together with Pete I've found myself wanking over our own filthy sessions way more than porn due to porn being nowhere near as good.

I remember reading an interview with pornstar James Deen and he was explaining why he fucks differently in real life. That the positions in porn are chosen for the camera to see more and they are hard on the actors bodies. He said there are easier positions that feel better but don't look so good on camera and that's what it's about in porn. He was telling young guys not to pound away, reminding them that porn actors stop and start. He was basically telling people not to try and 'live up' to what they see in porn. I thought it was a good article I hadn't really thought of it that way before...

Well l'm 28 now so l'm not sure if l count as a 'younger' male. Having said that, l do remember the internet before youtube like porn sites were possible and when you had to download one pic and 3 viruses from limewire to see any porn.

Anyway, if l watch porn, it's always amateur porn.

I certainly agree. The amount of conversations I've overheard from young teenage boys on the bus talking about sex and how simular they think it is to porn is disgusting. Porn should be harder to access in my opinion (I rarely watch it though so I am biased). If anything, they should watch amateur porn as that gives a more accurate representation

I would say it's pretty narrow minded to disregard an entire group of people based on the baseless assumption that the porn they watch has affected them in some negative way when actually everyone (no matter their age) watches porn, and not all watch the overly manufactured and unrealistic stuff.

But what do I know? I'm just a young male who's expectations of sex have been irreversibly tainted from all the high quality porn I've watched

I think the idea is that older men/people have had a chance to experience what sex is like with real people whereas young men/people's views&attitudes are predominantly informed or shaped by porn.

Personally I disagree, perhaps teens are susceptible but it doesn't take much brains or experience to realise what works! Then again some older people still haven't worked it out (and not through lack of opportunity) so I say it's all down to the individual.

I have met my share of younger guys and no pornheads in their midst. You can spot pornheads of any age&gender from miles off, it's in their language. Easy to avoid or go for, depending on what you're after.

Apart from the generation of young men killed off in WW1, there has never been a time when the younger generation of males have been seen by their elders as anything other than trouble. If you look at social history from the recording of history up until today it has been a common refrain that for one reason or another young men are no good.

As for porn sex it's entertainment not a guide to good sex. It is like watching Despicable Me and complaining real villains are not like that.

American porn has to be the worst for overacting and so unnatural in ooohs n aaarghs and no offence but boob jobs that look like two halves of a coconut stuck on? Not for us.

Homemade, as in genuine homemade couples or moresomes filming what they are enjoying for fun and added kink. They're good. But read a report that too much masturbation over porn can affect a relationship where it replaces the sex life between partners.

porn made an ex of mine amazing in bed. i met him when he was 23 and a virgin but he gave great oral, just from copying what he'd seen in porn.

he's naturally submissive so i suppose that helped.

In my humble opinion. I think it's expectations people set on themselves that has been affected by porn. Hence the rise in surgery for ladies looking for a designer vagina and men looking for penis enlargement. We are too hard on ourselves as we don't look like those in the porn. It's only with experience do you hopefully realise it's not reality and you don't need to look like that nor do 100 positions in 10 minutes.

You can always find something to blame people's behaviours on. But mostly you are responsible for your own behaviour good or bad.

Whether that's sex, or in other aspects of your life.

Personally I think I have actually improved somewhat by watching porn.

I suspect people's views of their looks and body parts are developed long before they get to look at porn. Their views of themselves are more influenced by their parents, school, first sex experiences and the community and culture in which they live. Although I would never recommend a woman have a boob job or a man have a penis enlargement, but if they do and it makes them feel better about themselves it is their own business. I listened to a talk where cosmetic surgery was compared to self harming. I am then not sure where tattooing falls into the mix as it could be argued that it is an unnecessary procedure for the purposes of feeling good (this is an argument and not personal view before the tattoo lobby get upset). But blaming porn is to ignore the part played by the beauty industry, women's magazines, hollywood style movies and the media. Don't forget throughout history people have done a lot of strange things to meet the then current standard of attraction.

As for so called porn star behaviour in bed. It is different strokes for different folks. Some people scream others whimper and moan. Some lie there, some are gymnastic. My own view is most people do what gets them off or what they believe will get their partner off, and that is likely to be influenced by their previous sexual experiences.

I think it is quite true. Especially, if young men think there's something wrong with a woman if she doesn't come in 10 seconds, or certain parts of their body doesn't look right!

Women also, as it can put pressure on them, too, by having to act in a certain way, etc.

I had a lass like that come to visit me a couple of years ago,she shall forevermore be referred to as 'The Screamer!'

Holding her head down face first into the pillow just barely muffled her screams enough to stop me getting an ASBO.......it nearly put me off fucking her......nearly!

Porn and reality are very different. What worries me is that I've met a couple of people only to discover they don't want to do anything unless there is porn on screen for them to watch. Nothing says "thanks for the effort you put into dressing and travelling here" like staring at unachievable nonsense and not once at me while I try to please you!

Actually I'd say the most damaging thing is in every sitcom ever made.

Ever noticed how in nearly all tv shows/movies a man is basicaly given sex as a reward/its assumed the woman doesn't want it?

Watch friends and the amount of jokes about chandler and monicas sex life that are on this track are insane.

By the time most kids are adults theyve been conditioned for years that sex is basically prostitution.

In my opinion and the opinion of my female and male friends after discussion of this subject is that hard core porn has definitely effected how some women and men and given them unrealistic views on sex.

Alot of women and more so the younger generation feel thatvif they dont play with other women do threesomes gangbangs and take it up the are that they will be seen as uncool or do it to keep their partner in fear of losing them?

The guys dont seem to understand acting for the cameras and reality.

It has desensitised some people as to what a loving sexual relationship is all about and given them unrealistic expectations.

Its been known that some men have used porn to try and coerce their partners into bi sexual experiences BBC experience and hangbangs and swinging etc etc .

Sad truth is that access to hard core porn especially from a young age does have an extreme effect on how some people relate to sex and relationships.

Numerous studies have been done regarding this and its been proven that porn has given some people especially the younger generation a unrealistic and damaging skewed view of the opposite sex and sex and relationships.

They say that sex crimes has increased too and they put it down to of the ease of access to hard core porn to all ages.

So in answer to the OPs question..

Yes I personally do think porn has had a major effect on how some people view sex .

I think this site will necessarily attract the more sexually active, with lots of real-world experience, so probably not. However I've found that a lot of predominantly younger men on here do seem overly influenced by porn, easily gauged by the first message which can be promptly deleted. Having said that, my preference is for younger men and I have met plenty who are not like that. Some (I would suggest, those not really into the swinging lifestyle) seem to get confused regarding fantasy and reality, and can see sites like this as simply an extension of a porn site.

I think you are right, from the sexual positions that look good on camera but don't feel the same way to the way women are treated in porn films.

Always being called names, slapped and taken that little bit further than you think they prob would if they were watching themselves.

Harder for the younger generations that have grown with easy porn access and therefore had no buffer to find what sex felt like for themselves without external noise.

Its actually been in the news today that rape by children has increased 100% since 2011 and climbing.

The courts heard that it was clear that watching porn online had triggered these assaults.

When asked why they committed these acts they said they didnt understand the difference between the shocking images on line and thought they were a realistic version of sex.

Massive worry isn't it.

"When asked why they committed these acts they said they didnt understand the difference between the shocking images on line and thought they were a realistic version of sex."

Seriously that is not really a fact.

If they couldnt tell the differnece between what they saw on screen and wha they did when they raped somone then thry must have been watching rape porn.

This very logic of "porn made me do it" also falls flat on its face when you look at how much violence children are exposed to in the media yet they dont go around murdering.

Finally you got a source for any of this because i can't find a single one claiming a 100% rise

"Its actually been in the news today that rape by children has increased 100% since 2011 and climbing.

The courts heard that it was clear that watching porn online had triggered these assaults.

When asked why they committed these acts they said they didnt understand the difference between the shocking images on line and thought they were a realistic version of sex.

Massive worry isn't it.

Err that argument makes no sense.

Unless you're saying they watched rape porn

One: Its not an argument.

Two: Its factual whether that makes sense to you or not.

Three: I'm not saying anything. Im just posting the recent findings of sexual assault by children .

I think you will find that violent crime involving young people has increased in the last few years.

Also Im sure if you Google you will find plenty of information to validate what I've posted about sex crimes with children as the perpetrators and the connection with online pornography.

Ill leave that with you to research.

It's a bit like saying action movies ruined people's perception of reality.

Every time I see a car crash I immediately think how come it didn't blow up like in the movies!

At the end of the day it's not porn that is ruining your expectations but yourself .

"Actually I'd say the most damaging thing is in every sitcom ever made.

"

I do notice a whole lot of people seem to take their cues for sex lives from American sitcoms/soaps.

"After discussing with my partner, and speaking to many other on the subject ..

Access to porn easier than ever and has defiantly distorted men's expectations of sex life. It's a fact weather we admit it or not guys.

Took me along time to realise it ain't all like real life lol

No shit sherlock ..."

Cheers for that input. People like you make the site annoying ))

But you have experience of normal everyday life and know people don't go round leaping through windows and shooting people.

You also have experience of sex.

How does a virginal teenager know it isn't usual to fuck his new girlfriend up the arse and spunk in her face, as he's seen online?
