I find it a good way to relax.

When I say I'm free and available I make that known and ask/offer. I don't automatically expect she will be available, in the mood, etc.
At short notice someone has to shower, change, they may have just started doing something.
I don't think it's right to suggest that a bloke is a fucking idiot for not immediately dropping everything and running off to perform, because you can be damned sure that it wouldn't happen like that in reverse.

it wasnt the fact i was turned down i understand that completely,it was a pre arranged meet.but thought id dress up put a little effort into it, its the fact that after 2 years i was still trying to put a little bit of spark into our arrangment,iv jumped at his every wim. sat & waited for him to finish his "last game" ect ect, he could have had a million other excuses & id be fine its life, its the bloody fifa that gets me!

"it wasnt the fact i was turned down i understand that completely,it was a pre arranged meet.but thought id dress up put a little effort into it, its the fact that after 2 years i was still trying to put a little bit of spark into our arrangment,iv jumped at his every wim. sat & waited for him to finish his "last game" ect ect, he could have had a million other excuses & id be fine its life, its the bloody fifa that gets me!

The only thing I'll add is that spontaneous unplanned and short notice things absolutely should be tried, because they're great when they come off.

This is starting to make sense now. I used to play back in the day and know a little...
See if it was just a normal game he would have been soo excited to meet you, but this was about promotion. He would have been waiting for this moment for a long time...
The way I see it is he replied to you and was honest. That shows he cares about you and now he is all yours for the whole season
He is really happy he got to win his game... now let him show you how happy he really is...
