Well, I made watercress soup last week and it was nice.....so this week when I had a back of rocket that was really tough I thought 'What the heck' - got an onion and some stock, made a soup......
Well it is strange I grant you, but edible.......

I love making things up as I go along.
My "mushy peasta" (pasta with a sugar-snap pea, edamame, marrowfat and mint sauce) is still requested. As is my spiced banana curry (served on a bed of pudding rice, more desert than main course).
There have been a few mistakes though. The least said about pickled lime omelettes the better. |

What any of this has to do with soups I have no idea. |

I've been living on soup! Bought a bag of Sainsbury caserole vegetables, added chilli, thyme and a stock cube, boiled for twenty minutes then blended...delicious!
Did leek, potato, chilli, celery and spinach the other day. Colour a bit disgusting but gorgeous flavour. |

"I want the pickled lime omelette recipe. Any one had preserved lemons? I love them...was your omelette done with line pickle?"
It was actually a little worse than it sounds as I used a whole jar of hot pickled lime chutney that I'd found at the back of the fridge.
The thought process was that omelettes are just lazy pancakes and that limes are essentially just wrong-coloured lemons.
It went downhill from there. |

I threw the rest of the green soup away...
I used too much psyllium in an attempt to find a way to thicken a casserole without carbs, and I ended up with chicken and mushroom frogspawn
...... only just managed to get that down |

I was going to say nettle soup myself, freely available and in abundance in the countryside. I've made my fair share, done right it is |
