We'll only catch the end of the eclipse here in the Uk as it starts before moonrise. The eclipse will start at 6.24pm (BST), but sunset in the UK will not occur until 9.19pm.

People in eastern Africa, the Middle East, central Asia and Western Australia will be able to enjoy the entire event, while those in the US will miss out as the eclipse will occur during daylight hours.

You're thinking of a solar eclipse when the moon covers the sun. This is a lunar eclipse when the shadow of the earth comes across the moon blocking the light from the sun. The birds will already be quiet at night time,

If the ducks at the bottom of your garden are bleeding... No wonder they are noisy...

Try bathing the wounds with TCP...

If that doesnt work try Lighter Fluid... Matches... Hoy Sin Sauce...

I could happily eat it every day. No problemo. I wouldn't get fed up with it either as I just love the taste of hoy sin sauce.

The white dot to the right of the moon in the 3 o'clock position is a star called Antares in the constellation of Scorpio. I think.
